Matt Gaetz introduced a bill that would abolish one of the worst government agencies, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>People say it ironically, but Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms are also considered explosives.\u00a0<em>You must<\/em> Be a brand of convenience stores, not a government agency.<\/p>\n<p>Gaetz\u2019s move comes after the ATF\u2019s \u201cruling\u201d Unaccountable executive agency decisions are the first sign that anti-democratic shenanigans may be afoot. \u201crulings\u201d With the effect of law (rather than Congress) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nraila.org\/articles\/20230117\/atf-posts-final-rule-on-stabilizing-braces\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">so-called stabilizing braces<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cruling\u201d They have the practical effect to make many people criminals overnight. But there are options for submitting your property to government without any compensation. It\u2019s one single page. It only covers one topic. It only covers one topic. \u201cThe Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives is hereby abolished.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Simply <a href=\"https:\/\/gaetz.house.gov\/sites\/gaetz.house.gov\/files\/documents\/Gaetz%20Abolish%20the%20ATF%20Act%202023.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">take a quick look at this<\/a> Beautiful piece of paper.<\/p>\n<p>Titans of freedom like Rep. Thomas Massie have long argued for single-issue legislation, and he\u2019s right.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He has also introduced similar legislation. <a href=\"https:\/\/massie.house.gov\/news\/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=395319\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">like this gem, H.R. 899<\/a>: \u201cThe Department of Education shall terminate on December 31, 2022.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There are two reasons that legislation can be so overwhelming, unreadable, and unknowable. \u201comnibus\u201d Senate Republicans helped to pass a spending bill that was recently approved by Congress.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>First, because the bill is merely an attempt to tweak with some complicated program that is more likely to be patently unconstitutional than it is overly complex.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Second, because it\u2019s just a deliberate effort to ramrod through a host of illegal or expensive things that would draw too much attention.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>At any rate, Gaetz is absolutely right to push for abolishing the ATF, though you can be sure the newly Republican Congress won\u2019t pass it.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Second Amendment is as clear as day. Anyone can read it. It is not, however.\u00a0<em>is, <\/em>It is, after all, a Constitutional Amendment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>They theoretically have the power to ban certain types of firearms. That power is only available to Congress. It would also require the Amendment process to amend or repeal the Second Amendment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>For several reasons, Congress is unlikely that they will do so. First, it\u2019s hard work to amend the Constitution. This is essentially pistols that function and look similar to AR and AK platform rifles.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As the Justice Department <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheJusticeDept\/status\/1613963433862365198?s=20&#038;t=lxTipAX1Lm2F9kvNXTOrZA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">puts it<\/a>These braces, known as stabilizing braces, are \u201caccessories used to convert pistols into short-barreled rifles.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Anyone who is familiar with firearms or the law will tell you that short-barreled guns, also known as SBRs, are common. <a href=\"https:\/\/gununiversity.com\/class-3-license\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">are Class III firearms that require a host of unconstitutional steps<\/a> for the prospective owner before they can own one. (Think time, money, \u201capproval\u201d You can request assistance from the government in order to exercise your Constitutional rights.<\/p>\n<p>You can use a stabilizer brace to help you shoot 7.62 if you have an AK platform that is pistol-powered. You should at the very least. <em>did<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We are seeing the beginning. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetruthaboutguns.com\/strom-atfs-pistol-brace-rule-shows-that-if-the-government-wants-to-get-you-it-can\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">beginning of the backlash<\/a> This ruling.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The government doesn&#8217;t have any authority or rights to retroactively make criminals of tens and thousands of people. What&#8217;s the government really worried about? AR pistols don&#8217;t exist. \u201cweapons of war,\u201d they\u2019re useless against Joe Biden\u2019s F-15 fighter jets!<\/p>\n<p>This is a temporary but effective solution.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>H.R. 374. Abolish ATF\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll want to pay close attention to who cosponsors this bill. You\u2019ll want to pay even more attention to who doesn\u2019t. It&#8217;s past time to be scaredy-puss Representatives.
