Juan Ferba was accused of firing at least 14 shots on a South Side street corner in December. <a href=\"https:\/\/cwbchicago.com\/2023\/01\/gun-charge-but-nothing-more-for-man-who-allegedly-shot-a-cta-bus-passenger-while-killing-another-man-in-self-defense.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to<\/a> <em>CWBChicago<\/em>. At a bail hearing, Prosecutors stated that Ferba was in an argument with a man. Both pulled out their guns. Ferba hit the man in the head three times and also struck a woman sitting on a nearby bus with her hand.<\/p>\n<p>Chicago police charged Ferba with murder and attempted murder last week. Prosecutors tossed the charges and instead charged Ferba with murder and attempted murder. &#8220;for self-defense.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ferba has been sentenced for a previous violent felony offense, according to court records <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Ferba-supplemental-information.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">show<\/a>. He was also given a chance of committing another offense by a pre-trial public security assessment. He is still in custody <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Ferba-courtsheet.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">failing to pay<\/a> $1,000 <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Ferba-data-sheet.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bail<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Foxx is part of a group called criminal justice reform prosecutors that George Soros has pushed into office. The left-wing billionaire <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/democrats\/soros-helps-save-prosecutor-who-dropped-jussie-smollett-charges-after-hate-crime-hoax\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">donated<\/a> $2 million for Foxx&#8217;s 2020 campaign. Like <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/democrats\/embattled-philly-da-oversees-citys-deadliest-murder-wave-since-1990\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Soros-backed Philadelphia prosecutor Larry Krasner<\/a> (D.), Foxx oversees a murder rate that has been high for decades, with over 800 homicides in Chicago by 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Foxx spokesperson said that Foxx is a private office. &#8220;unable to comment on pending litigation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Jason Johnson, President of the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund told the <em>Washington Free Beacon<\/em> Foxx &#8220;drops felony cases, especially those involving violence and gun offenses, at an alarming rate.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;While it&#8217;s appalling, it&#8217;s unsurprising that a radical D.A. like Kim Foxx would give leniency to a convicted felon committing violence with an illegal gun because she&#8217;s done it over and over again,&#8221; Johnson pointed to at most <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/chicago\/news\/lightfoot-brown-foxx-chicago-prosecutions-melissa-ortega-murder\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">two<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chicagotribune.com\/news\/criminal-justice\/ct-girls-shooting-murder-charges-dispute-20210904-vopotkh3cndhhmhzj76zxylfve-story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">other cases<\/a>. Both saw girls as young as seven- and eight-years-old killed in shootouts.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;She only folded after the police and mayor publicly excoriated her,&#8221; He spoke of the first case. &#8220;And this was just last year.
