He felt that 2020 was the right moment to give it another shot.<\/p>\n<p>Biden&#8217;s rambunctious years as a senator, vice president and vice president had diminished significantly by the time he was nearing 80. With the rise of COVID, Biden could barely make it to the campaign trail and ran his operation out of his Delaware house basement.<\/p>\n<p>And let\u2019s be frank: many Americans had tired of President Donald Trump\u2019s act. Many independents gave Biden a shot in 2016, but many of them were unable to support him in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>But Biden\u2019s usefulness may have expired. Although the president has stated that he intends to run again in 2024 and at least one lawmaker believes that Democrats plan to get rid of him to make room for a better candidate,<\/p>\n<p>They may just have the right formula. The discovery of classified documents in Biden\u2019s garage and the U.S. attorney general\u2019s recent appointment of a special counsel to probe the matter gives Democrats a vehicle to weaken Biden.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI mean, there\u2019s an element of this where it\u2019s Joe Biden\u2019s lawyer who turns this information over, it\u2019s Joe Biden\u2019s own Justice Department that\u2019s appointed a special counsel to investigate him,\u201d Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/matt-gaetz-classified-docs-scandal-feels-like-democrats-taking-out-joe-biden\">told<\/a> Fox News Digital.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s an element to this that feels like the Democrats are taking out Joe Biden,\u201d Gaetz said. \u201cI don\u2019t know that that\u2019s the case, but I don\u2019t know that it\u2019s not.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaybe the Democrats have realized that Joe Biden is not useful to them anymore, and they just assume toss him out and get a younger crop of candidates engaged in the next presidential race,\u201d He said.\u00a0\u201cBut just as Joe Biden is hardening the cement around his decision to run for president again, they start looking for what classified documents might have been tucked away eight years ago.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the last couple of months, three batches of Obama administration-era classified documents have been found on Biden\u2019s properties: one batch at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, D.C., and two at his Wilmington, Delaware, home.<\/p>\n<p>The first batch was found just days before the 2022 midterm elections, but the Department of Justice didn\u2019t release the info until this month.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have a lot to learn about the content and substance of those documents, and if they relate to China, and if they were at that Biden Center at UPenn funded by China. That\u2019s going to be a far more grave concern,\u201d Gaetz said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat if the documents relate to our economy?\u201d He said. \u201cWhat if Joe Biden was hustling information to his CCP [Chinese Communist Party] funders at the Biden Center for UPenn and that gave China economic advantage over Americans? That would create a nexus between those documents and our economic woes at the hands of rising China.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gaetz admitted that all speculations are speculative, until the actual contents of the documents are discovered.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI haven\u2019t been frothing at the mouth over the mere existence of some documents in a garage in Delaware,\u201d He said. \u201cYou know, I believe Americans are more worried about the weaponization of government against them than they are, you know, what papers Joe Biden stuffed in [the] glove box of his Corvette.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf they are mementos or, you know, documents that have far outlived any sort of functional relevance quite some time ago, then I think that\u2019s different,\u201d Gaetz said.<\/p>\n<p>Biden finally spoke on Thursday, after 68 days without comment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe found a handful of documents were filed in the wrong place. We immediately turned them over to the Archives and the Justice Department. We\u2019re fully cooperating, looking forward to getting this resolved quickly,\u201d Biden said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think you\u2019re gonna\u2019 find there\u2019s nothing there. I have no regrets. I\u2019m following what the lawyers have told me they want me to do. That\u2019s exactly what we\u2019re doing.
