So I actually kind of love that that story came out because of how I was quoted. So, yeah, I mean, we\u2019re talking in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/politics\/marjorie-taylor-greene-and-lauren-boebert-threw-down-in-a-bathroom-screaming-match-over-mccarthy-per-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">congressional ladies\u2019 bathroom<\/a>. I\u2019m there with Anna Paulina Luna, and, you know, people are upset about what\u2019s going on in the Speaker\u2019s race,\u201d Boebert stated that the negotiations had been going on for days already and that some were unhappy about it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hadn\u2019t received the concessions that we wanted,\u201d Boebert added that, despite having their differences, everyone had been polite and professional to one another when discussing the situation.<\/p>\n<p>Greene, Boebert said, took a different approach: \u201cAnd my colleague from Georgia, the gentlewoman from Georgia, came up and started, you know, being kind of nasty about it. And no one else had been nasty about it. Everyone had been very professional.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Boebert stated that she had witnessed a different Congress over the past few days and that both sides were engaging in productive discussions and debates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was the most organized I have seen Congress since I\u2019ve been there in two years,\u201d She said. \u201cRelationships were being built and strengthened on both sides of the aisle. It was incredible. And so when she started going after me, I looked at her and said, \u2018Don\u2019t be ugly.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Loesch pressed a bit then, noting that up until the battle to elect McCarthy Speaker, everyone had believed Boebert and Greene to be friends \u2014 but Boebert made it clear that wasn\u2019t necessarily the case.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think the media saw two women in Congress, you know, there was there was nothing against her. We travel in the same circles, have the same policy views on a lot of things, not everything, but on many things,\u201d Boebert replied, adding, \u201cBut yeah I looked at her, said, I don\u2019t have time for this. I said, \u2018Don\u2019t be ugly.\u2019 And that\u2019s something that my granny used to say to me when I was being a brat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s like the most inoffensive thing you could say,\u201d Loesch said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe said, she said, \u2018Don\u2019t be ugly.\u2019 Granny.
