After the announcement was made, <a href=\"http:\/\/dailywire.com\/topic\/amazon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amazon<\/a> Andy Jassy is the CEO <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/amazon-dismisses-thousands-of-employees-in-bid-to-reduce-costs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">unveiled<\/a> A total reduction in headcount of 18,000 employees. Jean-Pierre began her Wednesday however. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/press-briefings\/2023\/01\/18\/press-briefing-by-press-secretary-karine-jean-pierre-january-18-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">press briefing<\/a> By claiming that Biden \u201cinherited an economic crisis and turned it into the strongest two years of job growth on record.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One reporter noticed that the commander in chief has been \u201cquite optimistic\u201d In his most recent statements on the economy, he asked whether the Microsoft layoffs were a \u201cmatter of concern\u201d for the White House. Jean-Pierre said that Biden is closely monitored by Jean-Pierre \u201canytime there are reports of Americans losing their jobs\u201d And he affirmed that he \u201cknows firsthand the impact of losing a job and what that can have to your entire family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t have a comment on specific moves announced by particular companies. As you know, we\u2019re very careful from here talking about private companies. But more broadly speaking, layoffs remain near record lows according to job openings data,\u201d She went on. \u201cCompanies across the economy are continuing to grow and invest in the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another reporter observed the same thing. \u201cbelieves the economy\u2019s resilient\u201d But, I was curious as to how dismissals would be handled. \u201cimpact that recovery in the coming months.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jean-Pierre said that \u201clayoffs remain near record lows\u201d All over the economy. \u201cWe\u2019re seeing the President\u2019s economic policy actually working. And I think that\u2019s important as well,\u201d She spoke. \u201cIs there more work to do? Always more work to do, and you hear that from us as well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo no immediate concern from these tens of thousands of layoffs across corporate America?\u201d The reporter demanded. \u201cWhat I\u2019m saying is we\u2019re going to closely monitor this, or, you know, we are always keeping an eye on these things,\u201d Jean-Pierre repeated.<\/p>\n<p>These remarks were made after one of the United States&#8217;s most recent terrorist attacks. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/stocks-had-their-worst-year-since-2008-after-biden-boasted-about-their-performance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">worst stock market<\/a> The economy was plagued by high prices, geopolitical tensions and backlog supply chains, which led to some of the worst performances in modern history.
