To the dismay and surprise of single females around the world, she tied the knot with the famous singer in Las Vegas in 1967.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t long after that the couple welcomed their one and only child, a daughter named <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/lisa-marie-presleys-memorial-plans-announced-as-graceland-confirms-who-will-get-elvis-former-home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lisa Marie Presley<\/a> January 1, 1968. She was just as beloved by her fans as the singer.<\/p>\n<p>Her parents\u2019 relationship was strained, however. After reports of Elvis\u2019 alleged infidelities surfaced, Priscilla admitted to having an affair of her own and told the singer she was leaving him, the outlet noted.<\/p>\n<p>In 1972, the couple split. Their divorce was finalized in 1973. Lisa Marie moved in with her mother in Los Angeles after their divorce. She would often visit Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, as Elvis was there. The pair would co-parent Lisa Marie for the next few years until Elvis\u2019 death in 1977.<\/p>\n<p>1978: Priscilla talked to People magazine about Lisa&#8217;s custody split. \u201cIt was like we were never divorced.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe would say \u2018Mommy said this\u2019 And \u2018Daddy said that,&#8217;\u201d she added. \u201cThat helped Lisa to feel stable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At the very young age of 9, Lisa Marie lost her father. She would now have to deal with the challenges of growing up in the public eye, in the shadow of her legendary parent.<\/p>\n<p>At age 17, Lisa dropped out of high school in her junior year. She then entered Scientology\u2019Celebrity Center rehabilitation facility, as she was abusing illegal drugs. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biography.com\/personality\/lisa-marie-presley\">Biography.com<\/a> noted.<\/p>\n<p>Lisa met Danny Keough, the singer-songwriter, while she was in that room.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, not all of her marriages ended in good graces. Some even led to high-profile divorces. <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/music\/lisa-marie-presley-reflected-future-during-final-visit-son-benjamin-grave-cover-story\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">People magazine<\/a> noted.<\/p>\n<p>In 1988, she married Keough. The couple would have a daughter Riley in 1989, and a son Benjamin in 1992. She married Michael Jackson in 1994 after they split. Due to the same reasons, they would also divorce. \u201cirreconcilable differences.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Presley was engaged to John Oszajca in November 1998. However, she broke up with Nicolas Cage, an actor. They were married in August 2002 but split up months later.<\/p>\n<p>While Priscilla pursued a career in acting, Lisa would follow in her late father\u2019s footsteps and became a singer.<\/p>\n<p>She has released several albums of rock, but she wanted to follow her own path and pay tribute to the man that changed Rock. \u2018n\u2019 Roll forever. The title of her debut album, Roll Forever, was released in 2003. \u201cTo Whom It May Concern\u201d It was certified gold.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s my own thing,\u201d Presley has previously said\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2003\/03\/30\/arts\/music-lisa-marie-enters-the-building.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The New York Times<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m just trying to be an artist. I\u2019m not trying to be Elvis Presley\u2019s child. And I\u2019m not trying to run from it either.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Her second album, entitled &#8220;The Second Album&#8221;, was also recorded. \u201cNow What\u201d In 2005, and another in 2012 called \u201cStorm &#038; Grace.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lisa was also active in charity work throughout her life. She contributed to expanding the reach of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.graceland.com\/ep-charitable-foundation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation<\/a>A non-profit foundation founded in 1984 that provides assistance\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodmorningamerica.com\/culture\/story\/details-lisa-marie-presleys-public-memorial-released-96470305\">support to charitable<\/a> organizations focused on arts, education and children\u2019s programs in the Memphis area. The EP Foundation also funds a\u00a0living space for unhoused families called Presley Place in New Orleans, and supports <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yourdreamfactory.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Dream Factory<\/a>, an organization similar to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, in honor of her father\u2019s community service and generosity, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/music\/2023\/jan\/13\/lisa-marie-presley-music-legacy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Guardian<\/a> noted.<\/p>\n<p>Presley was married to Michael Lockwood in 2006 for the fourth time. Lockwood is a guitarist and music producer. The couple welcomed twin girls Harper Vivienne Ann Lockwood (now Finley Aaron Love Lockwood) in 2008.<\/p>\n<p>After 10 years of marriage, she filed for divorcement in 2016 and it became finalized in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Lisa had also experienced addiction to prescription drugs. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2019\/06\/06\/entertainment\/lisa-marie-presley-opioids\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">In a foreword to a 2019<\/a> book about the opioid crisis in America called \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/United-States-Opioids-Prescription-Liberating\/dp\/1946633321\">The United States of Opioids: A Prescription for Liberating a Nation in Pain\u201d<\/a> Harry Nelson.
