January 7th marked the last time they heard from the victims.<\/p>\n<p>Verity Beck, the couple\u2019s 49-year-old daughter, was found by authorities in the home with the dismembered bodies. Verity lived with her parents in the house.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">BREAKING: An elderly couple was found dead at their Jenkintown home. They were shot and dismembered. A chainsaw was also found on the scene. One-degree murder charges against daughter. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/QE4FVh7aYI\">https:\/\/t.co\/QE4FVh7aYI<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Annie McCormick (@6abcAnnie) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/6abcAnnie\/status\/1615833410571837467?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 18, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<p>After \u201centering the home, officers encountered the couple\u2019s adult daughter inside,\u201d a press release from the Montgomery County District Attorney\u2019s Office read. \u201cOfficers observed one deceased person tightly wrapped in a white bed sheet, and evidence of a second deceased person inside the home. Both Reid and Miriam\u2019s bodies \u201cwere in various stages of dismemberment,\u201d According to the press release, it was also noted that \u201cseveral firearms were recovered from the home as well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVerity used this chainsaw and put parts of her parents into trash bags and had covered them up. They were actually in two different trash cans,\u201d Kevin Steele, Montgomery County District attorney, stated during a conference on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Steele said that officers felt overwhelmed by a smell upon entering the home.
