Governor. Phil Murphy (D.N.J.), to stop development of a number offshore wind farms in the region. He declined.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;No, I don\u2019t think so,&#8221; Murphy <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nj.com\/news\/2023\/01\/offshore-wind-work-will-continue-despite-7-dead-whales-and-investigation-murphy-says.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> When asked last week if developers should stop building wind turbines, some whale-lovers suggested that this is what caused the spate of deaths.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How did they die?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We don&#8217;t have any idea. While federal and state agencies are currently investigating the deaths, pro-whale groups have raised concerns that sonar used to map the ocean floor is traumatizing whales and other marine life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What they are saying<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Stop all of the sonar, stop all of the pre-construction activity offshore right now, until we can determine whether or not that has had any impact or any part of the cause for all these whales washing up,&#8221; said\u00a0Cindy Zipf, executive director of the environmentalist group Clean Ocean Action.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Context<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Murphy, a\u00a0former Goldman Sachs executive, signed an executive order in September boosting the state&#8217;s goal for offshore wind production by nearly 50 percent to 11,000 megawatts by 2040. He <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northjersey.com\/story\/news\/columnists\/charles-stile\/2022\/01\/19\/phil-murphy-nj-governor-president-2024-election-iowa-caucus\/6567172001\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wants<\/a> He may run for president but he will never win.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Big picture<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>The Democratic Party declared war against innocent animals who stood in the way their radical green energy agenda after President Barack Obama&#8217;s 2008 election. Obama presided over the brutal. <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/blog\/the-obama-bird-genocide-is-out-of-control\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">murder<\/a> Millions of majestic birds including golden and bald eagles, are part of this magnificent collection. While some were killed by turbine blades while others were left to die, many were spared. <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/blog\/terror-in-the-sky-obamas-favorite-solar-power-plant-slaughters-hundreds-of-birds-every-day\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">incinerated<\/a> While flying above massive solar farms, which produced rays that could reach 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit,<\/p>\n<p>Obama routinely granted waivers for renewable energy firms in order to protect them from the legal consequences for killing bald eagles or other species.
