The group begins the quest to find the treasure and buy out a growing company that intends to demolish the house and build a country-club.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToo many people\u2019s hearts would break,\u201d Zakeri also added.<\/p>\n<p>Zakeri said he plans to re-create the contraption that opened the property\u2019s gate, which included a bowling ball, a balloon, a chicken, and a football. He plans to restore other features to pay tribute to the \u201cGoonies\u201d Crew include the installation of a zipline like that Richard has. \u201cData\u201d Wang rode in the movie and painting dark-red trim on the home\u2019s exterior, The Post reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m just super excited to try to be the best I can be for the \u2018Goonies\u2019 community,\u201d He stated.<\/p>\n<p>Zakeri first had the idea to purchase the home after touring the two-story house in June 2015 for the film\u2019s 30th anniversary.<\/p>\n<p>Sandi Preston, the previous landlord of the property, approached the new owner and said he would. \u201clove to buy it\u201d If she ever puts it up on the market.<\/p>\n<p>Zakeri called Preston in minutes after his friends informed him that the house had been put on the market.<\/p>\n<p>Zakeri contacted Jordan Miller, the property\u2019s real estate agent, every day for a week until Miller confirmed he was \u201cofficially under contract for the \u2018Goonies\u2019 house.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI couldn\u2019t really imagine much better of a buyer,\u201d Miller said so to The Post. \u201cThere\u2019s been concerns about, \u2018Oh, is some big company going to come in and buy it, change a bunch of stuff or try to make money off the house?\u2019 That\u2019s not his vision whatsoever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zakeri tagged several of the film\u2019s original cast in a Twitter post last week, inviting them back to the home they once saved.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHEY YOU GUYS!
