Andrew Cuomo after allegations surfaced from two female former staffers\u200b, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere should be an independent review looking into these allegations, and that\u2019s certainly something he supports, and we believe should move forward as quickly as possible,\u200b\u201d Psaki <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CNNPolitics\/status\/1366034108233744385\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> on CNN\u2019s \u201cState of the Union\u201d on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re serious. It was hard to read that story as a woman, and that process should move forward as quickly as possible\u200b,\u200b and that\u2019s something we all support and the \u200bp\u200bresident supports\u200b,\u201d Psaki said.\u200b<\/p>\n<p>Beth Garvey, who serves special counsel and senior adviser to Cuomo\u200b,\u200b \u200b63, \u200bsaid in a statement \u200bSaturday \u200bthat Cuomo \u201chas requested an independent review and all staff will cooperate in that endeavor. His inappropriate behavior toward women was an affirmation that he liked you, that you must be doing something right. He used intimidation to silence his critics.
