The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC) states that one fifth of people with diabetes don&#8217;t know they have it.<\/p>\n<p>The CDC recommends all individuals over 35 have diabetes screening. This could include an A1C or glucose tolerance test, fasting sugar test, random blood sugar test, or a fasting sugar test. A healthy adult should have their cholesterol checked every four to six months.
