Republicans in Congress have condemned the revelations and called for transparency by the White House as well as congressional investigations.<\/p>\n<p><b><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/classified-documents-biden-think-tank\">CLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS CONTROVERSY RAISES QUESTIONS ABOUT BIDEN\u2019S THINK TANK<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019ve decided that it\u2019s time for more political stunts and theater,\u201d Ian Sams, White House spokesperson told reporters Tuesday. \u201cThey\u2019re faking outrage, even though they defended the former president\u2019s actions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sams referenced an interview with House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) during a CNN appearance Sunday, in which the Republican said that his &#8220;biggest concern isn\u2019t the declassified documents.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The White House pointed to Republicans\u2019 response to former President <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\">Donald Trump<\/a>\u2019s refusal to return classified files to the National Archives last year held at his <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/trump-says-fbi-raided-mar-a-lago\">Mar-a-Lago estate<\/a>. Officials stress that Biden is fully cooperating with Justice Department.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese are the same Republicans who didn\u2019t make a peep when it came to the former president\u2019s handling of material,\u201d Sams said. \u201cIn their moments of honesty, I think they\u2019ve already admitted that they don\u2019t care about the underlying issue here.
