Luckily for you, dear reader, I\u2019m not scared of much, and certainly not of challenging false claims by any side of the aisle.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Inconvenience<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This little gem about electoral integrity laws was the Dr. Johnson quip that got the most attention.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cThere\u2019s a certain segment of white people in America who would rather have their own lives inconvenienced than run the risk of black people being on an equal plane.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div id=\"subscribe\" class=\"email-signup inarticle\">\n<h4>Support Conservative Voices!<\/h4>\n<h5><strong>Register to Receive the Latest<\/strong> Get political news, insights, and commentary directly to your inbox<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">I find it curious how he doesn\u2019t say specifically what \u2018certain segment\u2019 of white people he refers to; I firmly believe you should say what you mean and mean what you say, which is why I\u2019ll probably never get elected to Congress. Let\u2019s chat about this concept of \u2018inconvenience.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Perhaps it\u2019s from my two decades of military service where you are never allowed to be without positive possession of your military identification card. Still, I always leave my house with my driver\u2019s license and various other forms of identification. At any given time when I am outside my domicile, I have my state-issued driver\u2019s license and my military retiree ID card.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It\u2019s not an inconvenience; it\u2019s second nature. Dr. Johnson <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2023\/01\/16\/jason-johnson-msnbc-voter-id-racist\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">continued<\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cThe intention is to keep black people from voting, but it inconveniences everybody.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It is racist to assume that Americans are unable to obtain government-issued identification cards simply because they have a different skin color. Is it an inconvenience to show your ID to vote?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">You will need to show proof of identification in order to fly, get a tattoo, buy beer, or do many other activities such as buying lottery tickets, picking up medication, or getting a tattoo. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Are you telling me that entire swaths of the black community aren\u2019t flying aircraft, getting tattoos, picking up medicine prescribed by their doctors, buying alcoholic beverages, or testing their luck with the MEGA millions?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>But what is his argument? White people find it an inconvenience to show their ID card to a poll worker for just two seconds. What irony!<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Doug Mastriano (@dougmastriano) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/dougmastriano\/status\/1614369360059011074?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 14, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Racist election deniers<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Nicolle Wallace tried to make the segment about Republicans who don\u2019t care about voter suppression and only care about election integrity. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Dr. Johnson, however, took it to the next liberal logical step. <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2023\/01\/16\/jason-johnson-msnbc-voter-id-racist\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stating<\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cI don\u2019t think you can take partisanship out of it, because really the partisanship is just a proxy for racism.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It\u2019s not surprising Dr. Johnson takes it to this level; when the left doesn\u2019t like something or finds a group of people that disagrees with them, their default is to label said obstacle as racist. However, they do the same thing when they lose elections.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Tennessee Democrat candidate Odessa King for the 7th congressional District <a href=\"https:\/\/katv.com\/news\/nation-world\/congressional-candidate-blames-midterm-loss-on-white-supremacy-voter-suppression-odessa-kelly\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> After her tragic loss by 20%<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cI just lost a congressional race due to White Supremacy, gerrymandering, racist (GOP), undercover racist BlueDog Dems, and voter suppression, not cus Rep. Mark Green was better. So I need a couple days to process.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">That is what we call a &#8220;sore loser&#8221; in my home country. Dr. Johnson also addressed the midterms in Georgia before the votes were counted. He pre-emptively denied the results. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/msnbc-analyst-georgia-election-fair-equitable-election-law\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stating<\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201c\u2026we can\u2019t say that whatever happens tonight is a fair and equitable election, because there have been too many laws passed by election deniers to keep people from expressing themselves.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It\u2019s important to note that there was record voter turnout this past election in Georgia. I also enjoy the irony of someone denying an election in anticipation of the election and blaming\u2026 election deniers. Concerning the idea that \u2018inconvenient\u2019 Voter ID laws are an example where white people want to suppress the vote for black people. Dr. Johnson used Ohio, however, as an example. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/clips\/2023\/01\/16\/msnbcs-johnson-many-white-people-prefer-inconvenience-over-letting-blacks-vote\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">example<\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cI am very sure that somebody living in Lorraine, Ohio, doesn\u2019t like the fact that their ID cards and things don\u2019t work the way they used to as well.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ohio state law defines acceptable items as identification for voting. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohiosos.gov\/elections\/voters\/id-requirements\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">include<\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Photo identification that is not expired<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Card for military ID<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Utility bill<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Bank statement<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Government check<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Paycheck<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">First, the implication that black people don\u2019t have any of those items is insulting. It assumes that black people, based only on the fact that they are black, don\u2019t pay their bills, don\u2019t have bank accounts, and of course, don\u2019t have an identification card.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In a slightly more clever way, Dr. Johnson says the same thing as Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/fetterman-torched-saying-poorer-people-minorities-less-likely-have-id-vote-completely-racist\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">claimed<\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201c\u2026at any given time there\u2019s tens of thousands of Pennsylvanians who typically are on the poorer side and are people of color that are less likely to have their ID at any one given time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Is this a fact? Is that John? Unfortunately, the left never seems to explain this logic, probably because it\u2019s, wait for it, racist.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">If the voter ID is racial, then the regular ID is also racist.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Cory Stewart \ud83d\udcff (@corystewart90) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/corystewart90\/status\/1614832331981787136?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 16, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">What We Want<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">I love the way Dr. Johnson believes that they can communicate with what is inside everyone&#8217;s minds just because they have earned a Ph.D. His claim that blacks would prefer to vote than be inconvenienced by voter ID laws is ridiculous and distasteful.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">A valid form of identification is necessary to vote. It&#8217;s not difficult. The purest form of voting is to go to a location and declare who you are, your eligibility to vote and then choose the person you would like to represent you.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Everybody should be able to display some form of identification. This is regardless of socioeconomic status, race or gender.
