That it is now creating curriculum being taught in American public schools should horrify anyone with common sense,\u201d Masters said Friday in an email to The Daily Signal.<\/p>\n<p>Former Senate candidate raised the issue last week. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailysignal.com\/2019\/11\/07\/tucson-voters-overwhelmingly-reject-sanctuary-city-proposal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tucson Unified<\/a> School District\u2019s web page regarding curriculum. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWas doing some homeschool planning with my wife and we wondered what the boys would be learning at the local public school,\u201d He wrote. \u201cSo I pulled up the district\u2019s curriculum page. Even I wasn\u2019t expecting direct links to the SPLC!\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">My wife and I were doing some homeschool planning together, when we began to wonder what the boys would learn in the local public schools. So I pulled up the district\u2019s curriculum page. Performance is down, indoctrination is up. This is why universal school choice is so important,\u201d Masters are also available. <\/p>\n<p>He stated that Katie Hobbs (the new Democratic governor of Arizona), was a danger to his safety. \u201cfocused on mandating gender pronouns in schools.\u201d (Hobbs was the first to publish this article. <a href=\"https:\/\/azgovernor.gov\/office-arizona-governor\/executive-order\/2023-01\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">executive order<\/a> Arizona bans discrimination in sexual orientation and gender identification. He is expected to veto a bill that requires school employees to call students by pronouns matching their biological sex. This project labels Christian and mainstream conservative groups as Hatewatch. \u201chate groups,\u201d Placing them on a map together with Klan chapters. <\/p>\n<p>In 2012, a terrorist targeted the Family Research Council\u2019s headquarters in the nation\u2019s capital, entering the lobby with a semiautomatic pistol and then shooting and wounding a guard. The man told the FBI that he found the conservative organization on the SPLC\u2019s \u201chate map\u201d He had a plan to kill everyone inside the building. Later, the man pleaded guilty and was sentenced to life imprisonment for committing an act terrorist. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-dc\/pr\/virginia-man-sentenced-25-years-prison-shooting-security-guard-family-research\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">25-year prison sentence<\/a>. While the SPLC condemned this attack, it kept the Family Research Council in the loop. \u201chate map\u201d Ever since.<\/p>\n<p>After the SPLC fired its cofounder amid a racial discrimination and sexual harassment scandal in 2019, a former staffer claimed that the SPLC\u2019s accusations of \u201chate\u201d Are you looking for a \u201ccynical fundraising scam\u201d This is the goal \u201cbilking northern liberals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 1991, the SPLC created Teaching Tolerance as an education program. Teaching Tolerance claimed that they would have 50,000 new students by 2020. \u201cour community includes more than\u00a0500,000 educators who read our magazine, screen our films, visit our website, participate in Mix It Up at Lunch Day, use our curriculum or participate in our social media community.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Rebranding the education project \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.learningforjustice.org\/magazine\/our-new-name-learning-for-justice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Learning for Justice<\/a>\u201d In February 2021, the website does not mention how many educators have read the magazine or engaged with its content. Learning for Justice published the Tucson Unified Social Justice Framework. <\/p>\n<p>Learning for Justice, among others, has published a Learning Plan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.learningforjustice.org\/learning-plan\/critical-race-theory\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">critical race theory<\/a> Grades 6 through 8. This theory is for grades 6-8. \u201csystematically racist,\u201d Despite the efforts of Martin Luther King Jr., and others that led the Civil Rights Act of 1968 to prohibit racial discrimination and legal prohibitions against it. <\/p>\n<p>Learning for Justice\u2019s Social Justice Framework encourages students To \u201cdevelop positive social identities based on their membership in multiple groups in society,\u201d To \u201cexpress comfort with people who are similar to and different from them and engage respectfully with all people,\u201d to \u201crecognize unfairness on the individual level and injustice at the institutional or systemic level,\u201d To and from \u201cexpress empathy when people are excluded or mistreated because of their identities,\u201d Among other things.<\/p>\n<p>This document includes 20 goals for each section at multiple grade levels (K-2 through 3-5, 6-8, 9-12, and 8-8). \u201cI can feel good about my identity without making someone else feel badly about who they are.\u201d These goals tend to encourage positivity and empathy. However, others hint at lessons. \u201csystemic racism.\u201d The Justice 13 goal is for grades 9-12 states. \u201cI can explain the short and long-term impact of biased words and behaviors and unjust practices, laws and institutions that limit the rights and freedoms of people based on their identity groups.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Each section also contains an \u201canti-bias scenario,\u201d Many of these scenarios are focused on LGBT issues even at young ages.<\/p>\n<p>K-12 Identity Anti-bias Scenario: A teacher who is not biased by the situation. \u201cis teaching a unit on family structure and includes gay and lesbian parents in a lesson.
