Renner was transported by helicopter from his home in Reno, Nevada, to Renown Regional Medical Center, the region\u2019s only trauma center, where it was determined he had suffered blunt chest trauma. Renner&#8217;s representative stated that he had suffered blunt chest trauma. \u201cHe has returned from surgery and will remain in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sources told Radar Online that Renner\u2019s road to recovery could take two years to complete and that Renner \u201calmost bled out\u201d At the scene of an accident.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s much worse than anyone knows. Jeremy is very aware of the fact that he almost died out there,\u201d One source stated. \u201cThe right side of Jeremy\u2019s chest was crushed, and his upper torso had collapsed. He also had a bad head wound that was bleeding and a leg injury.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe knew he was in bad shape and that he might not make it out of this,\u201d Another source was added.<\/p>\n<p>An additional insider said, \u201cWord is the damage to Jeremy\u2019s chest was so substantial it had to be reconstructed in surgery.\u201d Another source claimed Renner had been through multiple surgeries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo far, he\u2019s had two surgeries and he will likely require more in the weeks ahead on his leg,\u201d Another source stated the following: \u201cDoctors tend to space out operations to allow time for the body\u2019s natural healing process to kick in, and that\u2019s the case here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJeremy\u2019s doing okay,\u201d One source had an opinion. \u201cHe\u2019s pretty doped up and he\u2019s got tubes to help him breathe, but he\u2019s a fighter, and he\u2019s determined to get through this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf anyone knows Jeremy, he is a fighter and doesn\u2019t mess around,\u201d Renner\u2019s sister Kym told <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/movies\/jeremy-renner-shares-another-update-from-hospital-amid-recovery-from-snowplow-accident\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">People Magazine<\/a> Last week. \u201cHe is crushing all the progress goals. We couldn\u2019t feel more positive about the road ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Renner posts progress messages to Instagram. On Jan. 3, he wrote: \u201cThank you all for your kind words. \ud83d\ude4f. I\u2019m too messed up now to type.
