The 118th Congress saw the swearing in of the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives. (Jabin botsford\/The Washington Post via Getty Images).<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Rasmussen Reports noted that broken down by party, 70 percent of Republicans, 37 percent of\u00a0Democrats, and 49 percent of independents agree that Biden should follow Congress\u2019 lead, while 49 percent of Democrats, 17 percent of Republicans, and 30 percent of independents think Congress should follow Biden\u2019s lead.<\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">Comparatively, 4 years ago under former President Donald Trump the 48 percent was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rasmussenreports.com\/public_content\/politics\/general_politics\/january_2019\/more_voters_now_think_congress_should_follow_trump_s_lead\">said<\/a> They would prefer that the president did. \u201cmore of what Congress wants,\u201d While 41% believe Congress should act, \u201cmore of what the president wants.\u201d In the midterm election, Democrats took control of House.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>A poll has also revealed that 37 percent believe the new Congress will perform better than in the 117th Congress. Comparatively, 31 percent believe Congress will do less and 22 percent predict it will do the exact same. Ten percent weren&#8217;t sure.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Rasmussen Reports poll was taken on January 5, 8, and 9 with 900 respondents.
