She had only been visiting the family for the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Kristi and Steve Goncalves <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/us-news\/parents-murdered-idaho-student-kaylee-goncalves-say-was-preparing-move-rcna65727\">told<\/a> Dateline revealed that Madison Mogen (21), Ethan Chapin (20), Xana Kernodle (20), and Madison Mogen (20) no longer lived in the house where they were living. They were murdered on the morning of November 13, 2022. The Goncalves claimed that their daughter was planning to graduate from college and move to Austin, Texas to take up a position with an IT company. Kaylee visited Mogen that weekend but returned to the house on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese girls were best friends since sixth grade, like inseparable,\u201d Kristi Goncalves spoke on Dateline.<\/p>\n<p>Kristi said that the girls were a great addition to her family. \u201cwere true, ultimate best friends\u201d And \u201cMaddie had been a huge part of our life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Goncalves, who had just bought a Range Rover, wanted to show Mogen the car and have a good time with her best friend.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat was the last time that I saw Kaylee,\u201d Kristi shared Dateline.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect in the murder of the four students was seen again in court on Thursday. He waived his right at a speedy preliminary trial and promised through his attorney that he would challenge the evidence against his.<\/p>\n<p>According to Daily Wire policy the suspect is 28 years old and faces four counts of first degree murder and one count felony burglary. He was held without bail until his next court date, which is scheduled for June 26.<\/p>\n<p>Megan Marshall, Latah County Magistrate, announced that there would be \u201cno bail at this point in time pending further proceedings.\u201d She also asked the suspect if he understood the charges against him and that waiving his right to a speedy preliminary hearing meant he couldn\u2019t challenge the delay at a future date.<\/p>\n<p>Fox News reports that the reason for his delay is to allow his attorneys to collect evidence to contest the charges against he. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/idaho-murders-suspect-bryan-kohberger-will-challenge-evidence-lawyer-says\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He has yet to enter a plea and is waiting to see if the state of Idaho will pursue death penalty proceedings against him. His attorneys have stated that he is likely not to plead guilty. Law &#038; Crime <a href=\"https:\/\/lawandcrime.com\/live-trials\/idaho-four\/idaho-quadruple-murder-suspect-bryan-kohberger-to-remain-in-custody-without-bail-after-court-appearance\/\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Richard Skiles, Sheriff of Latah County <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsnationnow.com\/crime\/idaho-college-killings\/bryan-kohberger-to-appear-in-idaho-court-for-first-time\/\">told<\/a> NewsNation that he hadn\u2019t heard anything out of the ordinary about the suspect\u2019s behavior in jail.
