The series then follows Harris\u2019 character as he tries to get back in the dating pool, according to the <i>Hollywood Reporter<\/i>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cOvernight, he has to confront two nightmares,\u201d reads the show\u2019s summary. \u201cLosing the man he thought was his soulmate, and suddenly finding himself a single gay man in his mid-forties in New York City.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">The series \u2014 created by Darren Star (<i>Sex and the City<\/i>) and Jeremy Richman (<i>Modern Family<\/i>) \u2014 only debuted in July, but its initial eight episodes will comprise the entirety of the series.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Tuc Watkins was also in the cast, as well as Tisha Camp, Brooks Ashmanskas and Emerson Brooks.<\/p>\n<p>The series received positive reviews and received a 73 per cent critical approval from Rotten Tomatoes as well as a 75 per cent audience score. It was not a success. <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2023\/tv\/news\/uncoupled-canceled-netflix-1235489504\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">failed<\/a> to earn many actual viewers and appeared only once \u2014 for its debut episode \u2014 in the Netflix top ten, <i>Variety<\/i> noted.<\/p>\n<p>Producing farmers are <a href=\"https:\/\/collider.com\/uncoupled-cancelled-netflix\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hopeful<\/a> Collider reports that there are rumors of MTV Entertainment Studios buying the series.<\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">Before it was even launched, the series caused quite a stir when Ada Maris (actor) appeared on it. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2021\/11\/13\/complaints-from-actress-ada-maris-prompt-netflix-to-cut-latina-character-from-unreleased-comedy-pilot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">complained<\/a> She blasted the producers and writers of racism for writing such stereotypical lines about her housekeeper character. \u201churtful and derogatory\u201d character.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>Her character was quickly eliminated.<\/p>\n<p>Hollywood is not seeing the same success with recent movies and series that feature gay themes. Producer, writer and actor Billy Eichner\u2019s widely praised gay rom-com\u00a0<i>Bros<\/i>The box office success of, for example, was remarkable <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2022\/10\/01\/nolte-woke-bros-delivers-another-weekend-box-office-bust\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">failure<\/a> last October. And in June, Disney\u2019s <i>Lightyear<\/i> A scene featuring lesbian kissing is prominently featured, too <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">crashed<\/a> Also, burned.
