He refused \u2014 and failed the course. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Her high school-aged son, William, was in a local charter school which required\u00a0 a course called <em>Sociology of Change.\u00a0 <\/em>Clark<em>, <\/em>Students were required to complete an assignment. \u201cto list your identities, your race, your gender, your sexual orientation, your religion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>William, who is mixed race with blonde hair and blue eyes,\u00a0refused to complete the assignment and was given a failing grade for the class, which kept him from graduating. According to Clark, because of his fair complexion, the class viewed her son\u00a0 as \u201ca dirty filthy oppressor. \u201c\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Clark filed a federal lawsuit charging the school with violating William\u2019s First Amendment free speech rights, Fourteenth Amendment equal protection rights, and federal anti-discrimination rights for compelling him to complete the race-based assignment.\u00a0The matter was eventually settled out of court.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/01\/lance-izumi-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"574\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/lance-izumi-2.jpg\" alt=\"Author and academic Lance Izumi describes CRT as one of the greatest threats to American education today. He describes how frustrated parents all over the country demand schools stop obsessing about identity in his new book. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Parents, says Clark, must realize that it is up to them to challenge CRT\u2019s impact on education as she did. \u201cJust because you have these rights,\u201d She stated, \u201cif you don\u2019t fight for them, then it\u2019s like you ain\u2019t got them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>William\u2019s case is no anomaly.\u00a0 Joshua, a California student, was interviewed by us. She says that the goal is to make it more accessible. \u201cis to keep out too many Asian-American students.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nomani believes CRT is to blame. \u201cwhich praises or blames members of a particular race solely because they happen to be that race.\u201d However, supporters of the new admissions policies denigrate Asian parents and label them as White-adjacent. Nomani disagreed. \u201cwe were unapologetic.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/01\/Asra-Nomani-02.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"683\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Asra-Nomani-02.jpg\" alt=\"Virginia mom Asra Nomani, an immigrant from India, sued her son&#039;s school after she believed it it changed its admissions policy to penalize Asian students.\" class=\"wp-image-25343724\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/01\/Asra-Nomani-02.jpg?quality=75&#038;strip=all&#038;w=1366 1366w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/01\/Asra-Nomani-02.jpg?quality=75&#038;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/01\/Asra-Nomani-02.jpg?quality=75&#038;strip=all&#038;w=683 683w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/01\/Asra-Nomani-02.jpg?quality=75&#038;strip=all&#038;w=341 341w\" \/><\/a><figcaption>Virginia mom Asra Nomani, an immigrant from India, sued her son\u2019s school after she believed it it changed its admissions policy to penalize Asian students. <\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">San Francisco Chronicle via Gett<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.educationnext.org\/how-mama-bears-won-court-victory-helped-elect-governor-virginia-immigrant-parents-asia-fight-discrimination\/\">Nomani helped start a coalition of<\/a> Thomas Jefferson parents that is suing to overturn the school\u2019s admissions policy.\u00a0 They also led to Jason Miyares, Virginia Attorney General, investigating the school for possible violations state law.<\/p>\n<p>We also spoke with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/santa-clara-ca-board-ethnic-studies-curriculum-agenda\">Lia Rensin, a California mom <\/a>Rensin, who is the grand-daughter of Holocaust survivors. \u00a0 Rensin is fighting against what she calls a CRT-influenced form of ethnic studies that has been commonly referred to as &#8220;Research by Technology.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/california-public-schools-saturated-teachers-learned-critical-race-theory-when-training-report\">\u201cliberated ethnic studies,\u201d<\/a> These documents formed the basis of the draft California education model curriculum for ethnic studies.\u00a0 This draft also contained <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/opinion\/story\/2019-08-09\/ethnic-studies-curriculum-california-anti-semitism\">anti-semitic elements<\/a> This song is a demonizing song about Jewish control of media.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A huge grassroots outcry from groups such as Rensin\u2019s own<a href=\"https:\/\/www.calethstudies.org\/\"> Alliance for Constructive Ethnic Studies f<\/a>California officials forced to remove the extremist draft curriculum and approved a more moderate model curriculum in ethnic studies.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe resistance,\u201d Rensin says, \u201chas to come from people who are aware of what\u2019s going on, who push back and say\u2026you\u2019re not supposed to be indoctrinating my kids.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Pledge of Allegiance declares that we are one nation and indivisible.
