Version: 4.0.47-->\n<p>House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-KY) on Sunday called on White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain to release visitor records for President Joe Biden\u2019s Delaware home and other information related to the classified documents found there.<\/p>\n<p>Comer penned a letter to Klain after the recent discovery of classified documents held in the president\u2019s residence from his time as vice president under former President Barack Obama.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is troubling that classified documents have been improperly stored at the home of President Biden for at least six years, raising questions about who may have reviewed or had access to classified information,\u201d Comer <a href=\"https:\/\/oversight.house.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/2023-01-15-Letter-Klain-Classified-Docs.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Write<\/a>. \u201cAdditionally, President Biden\u2019s personal attorneys, who do not possess security clearances, and White House staff continue to access and search the President\u2019s residence in Wilmington, Delaware for classified documents.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Klein was asked by the chairman of the Oversight Committee to provide the necessary information to ensure the safety of the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGiven the serious national security implications, the White House must provide the Wilmington residence\u2019s visitor log,\u201d Comer added.<\/p>\n<p>Comer requested the logs and detailed information about searches of Biden\u2019s home and other locations by January 30, 2023.<\/p>\n<p>During a Sunday interview on CNN\u2019s \u201cState of the Union,\u201d Comer said he wants information on who had access to Biden\u2019s former Penn Center office, where classified documents were also found.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">\u201dWhy didn\u2019t we hear about this on November 2nd when the first batch of classified documents were discovered?\u201d Comer asked.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Tapper: &#8220;Are you accusing President Biden or anyone on his team of breaking the law?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Comer: &#8220;Well, we don&#8217;t know exactly yet&#8221;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jaketapper?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@jaketapper<\/a> James Comer (Republican from Kentucky) questions a House Republican inquiry into Biden&#8217;s handling of classified documents. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CNNSotu?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@CNNSotu<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/CNNSOTU?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#CNNSOTU<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/KTIEo1q4cX\">pic.twitter.com\/KTIEo1q4cX<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 CNN (@CNN) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CNN\/status\/1614635986994229255?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 15, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Attorney General Merrick Garland announced that Robert Hur, a former U.S. attorney, was appointed special counsel to oversee the investigation initiated by John Lausch.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe document authorizes him to investigate whether any person or entity violated the law in connection with this matter,\u201d Garland <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/breaking-more-classified-material-found-at-property-owned-by-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a> During the press conference. \u201cThe special counsel will not be subject to the day-to-day supervision of any official of the department, but he must comply with the regulations, procedures and policies of the department.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan of Ohio and Rep. Mike Johnson of Louisiana also sent a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JudiciaryGOP\/status\/1613970823928516608\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Let me know<\/a> to Garland demanding documents and communications related to the discovery of Biden\u2019s classified materials.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s personal attorneys first discovered classified documents at the Penn Biden Center on November 2, 2022. The National Archives informed the Department of Justice of President Biden\u2019s improper storage of documents two days later.<\/p>\n<p>Garland gave Lausch the task of reviewing whether a special attorney should be appointed on November 14. On December 20, more than a month later, Biden\u2019s lawyers notified Lausch of additional classified documents found at the president\u2019s Wilmington residence.<\/p>\n<p>Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy inquired about Biden&#8217;s documents during a press conference.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cClassified material next to your Corvette?
