They suggest that these documents may have been more vulnerable to leaks than the ones found in previous years. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/person\/donald-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Donald Trump is President<\/a> Mar-a-Lago estate last year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"speakable\">Republicans questioned Attorney General Merrick Garland&#8217;s appointment of a special counsel to investigate classified materials that Biden claimed were classified. &#8220;inadvertently misplaced.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>From a simple review, the Justice Department elevated it to a special attorney investigation. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/biden-classified-documents-found-his-delaware-garage\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>Keep a stash of classified documents<\/u><\/a> It was discovered in the garage of Biden\u2019s Wilmington, Delaware home. The original documents were discovered in the Washington, D.C. offices of the Penn Biden Center think-tank. Robert Hur, a former U.S. prosecutor, was chosen by Garland to conduct the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Charles Marino is the CEO of Sentinel Security. He was a former president. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/politics\/executive\/homeland-security\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Homeland Security Department<\/a> Fox News Digital spoke to an advisor who is a specialist in law enforcement and said that Biden&#8217;s handling was better than Trump&#8217;s. &#8220;leakage.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/who-had-access-biden-classified-documents-republican-demands-white-house-release-delaware-visitor-logs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>WHO HAD ACCESS BIDEN-CLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS? This means there was no US government provided security at the residence in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/us\/us-regions\/northeast\/delaware\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wilmington, Delaware,<\/a> or at the Biden-UPenn think tank office in Washington, D.C. for close to six years,&#8221; He said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Former Presidents are eligible to continue to receive both secure communications and facilities. For example, former Presidents are eligible to request continuation of receiving the classified presidential daily briefings. Former Vice Presidents are not.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Marino, a former Secret Service agent special agent, said Biden claimed he didn&#8217;t know he had classified materials. POINT FINGERS AT TRUMP<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Richard Sauber, Special counsel to President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/white-house-aides-find-5-more-classified-documents-biden-delaware-home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Disclosure in a statement<\/a> Saturday that five additional pages of documents with classified markings were found at Biden&#8217;s Delaware home Thursday evening, making a total of six classified documents retrieved from the house \u2014 in addition to the documents discovered in the garage.<\/p>\n<p>Sauber explained that Biden\u2019s personal attorneys found one classified document at Biden\u2019s house on Wednesday. They stopped searching for other documents because they didn\u2019t have the security clearances required to view those materials.<\/p>\n<p>Biden discovered the first batch classified documents in his possession at the Penn Biden Center, Nov. 2, just before midterm elections in 2022. The information was not released until Monday. Biden&#8217;s Wilmington garage was searched on Dec. 20. Biden&#8217;s lawyers claim that the rest of the house was searched this week and additional documents were found.<\/p>\n<p>Bided responded to a Fox News reporter Peter Doocy&#8217;s question on Thursday by claiming that the classified documents were kept in a locked garage along with his Corvette. &#8220;By the way, my Corvette\u2019s in a locked garage, OK?&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/video\/6318562159112\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>The president stated<\/u><\/a>. &#8220;So it&#8217;s not like they\u2019re sitting out in the street.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It is important to emphasize the fact that it is &#8220;risky and irresponsible to keep classified information in an improperly secured location,&#8221; Jamil Jaffer is the founder and executive Director of the National Security Institute. CNN cited a source who was familiar with the matter.
