Pavone said he\u2019s been doing this exercise \u201cfor decades,\u201d adding that it\u2019s important for people to know what abortion actually looks like. He stated that the altar was a table in Priests for Life and was not consecrated. \u201cWe have to elect people who are willing to protect these babies,\u201d Pavone stated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTheir reasons have shifted over these 21 years,\u201d Pavone went on, speaking about the push-back he\u2019s received from some bishops. \u201cIt\u2019s always been something else; it\u2019s always been a shifting goalpost. \u2026 When one question is settled, they bring up a different concern.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the latest, they actually said I had blasphemous communications on social media,\u201d Pavone noted. \u201cI\u2019m honestly not aware of any blasphemy I\u2019ve committed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey keep saying to me, \u2018Oh, you\u2019re being disobedient, you\u2019re being disobedient.\u2019 They say to me, \u2018You can\u2019t try to save babies,\u2019\u201d He told Shapiro. \u201cWe run the largest pro-life ministry in the world for healing people <em>after<\/em> abortion. \u2026 We run these healing retreats \u2014 that\u2019s part of our ministry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf the question of obedience is, \u2018Well, you can\u2019t save these babies\u2019 lives\u2019 \u2014 ultimately, it comes down to the question of conscience,\u201d Pavone said. \u201cObedience in any sphere of life never wipes away conscience, and this is something very very basic and simple.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf I see a child over there whose life is in danger and I wanna go over and save it \u2014 trespass laws fall by the wayside, all kinds of things fall by the wayside, because saving his life takes priority,\u201d he illustrated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd that\u2019s really been the nub of the problem, for some reason. Some of them don\u2019t want me focusing on abortion,\u201d The Catholic added.<\/p>\n<p>Pavone noted that he\u2019s followed assignments and been obedient to the Church in every other way, highlighting to Shapiro that he wasn\u2019t wearing his priest collar. \u201cI\u2019m not going to rebel against that, I\u2019m gonna work through the systems the Church provides to get reinstated,\u201d He stated.<\/p>\n<p>A statement attached to a letter from\u00a0Archbishop Christophe Pierre to U.S. bishops, dated December 13, claimed Pavone \u201cwas given ample opportunity to defend himself in the canonical proceedings, and he was also given multiple opportunities to submit himself to the authority of his diocesan bishop.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was determined that Father Pavone had no reasonable justification for his actions,\u201d The letter contained the following:<\/p>\n<p>Pavone was a reference in the statement. \u201clay person\u201d Priests for the Life were added to this list. \u201cis not a Catholic organization.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pavone received information via Catholic News Agency reports about Pavone&#8217;s apparent removal. \u201cHow did CNA learn about this before I did?\u201d He responded via email to the organization.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/report-pro-life-fr-frank-pavone-removed-from-priesthood-by-vatican-responds-with-defiant-message\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pro-Life Fr.
