The New York Times asked for separate names.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for Mark Cohen and Christian Everdell (representing Bankman-Fried), declined to comment. Cohen and Everdell also represented Maxwell during Maxwell&#8217;s criminal trial.<\/p>\n<p>In seeking to keep the sureties\u2019 names under wraps, Bankman-Fried\u2019s lawyers said their client\u2019s parents, who co-signed the $250 million bond, had been harassed and received physical threats since FTX\u2019s early November collapse and bankruptcy.<\/p>\n<p>According to the lawyers, there was \u201cserious cause for concern\u201d If their names were made public, the additional sureties could be subject to similar treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Bankman-Fried pleaded not guilty in criminal charges that he stole billions at FTX.
