This is in direct contradiction to claims made by leftist organizations as well as corporate media that there are legitimate concerns.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.al.com\/news\/2023\/01\/perry-county-commission-chairman-charged-with-voting-multiple-times-stuffing-ballot-box.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Advance Local<\/a>An Alabama news outlet reported that Perry County Commission Chairman Albert Turner Jr. was charged by Fourth Judicial Circuit District District Attorney Michael Jackson, and Alabama Secretary John Merrill \u201cwith voting more than once, which is a misdemeanor, and harvesting ballots, a felony.\u201d The alleged incidents took places during two different elections, in May and Nov of last year.<\/p>\n<p>Jackson noted that several witnesses claimed to have seen Turner, as Jackson stated in the report. \u201cstuffing filled out ballots in favor of the candidates he was supporting\u201d into a voting machine during the county\u2019s May 2022 Democrat primary election. Jackson mentioned Turner&#8217;s participation in the November contest. Advance Local describes it as &#8220;Turner&#8221;. \u201caccused of mailing an undisclosed number of absentee ballots.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince January 19, 2015, we have worked extraordinarily hard to make it easy to vote and hard to cheat in Alabama,\u201d Merrill <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sos.alabama.gov\/newsroom\/perry-county-voter-fraud-indictment-issued\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a>. \u201cWhile the accused is innocent until proven guilty, it is important to know that this incident \u2026 will receive the full attention of this office as we confirm for the people for the State of Alabama that we are the gold standard for election administration in the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Merrill and Jackson did not indicate which particular races Turner has been accused of meddling in nor whether those alleged actions could have affected any election\u2019s outcome.<\/p>\n<p>While Turner\u2019s alleged crimes present a striking example of problems with the integrity of U.S. elections, the story will almost assuredly be ignored by Democrat-friendly nonprofits and corporate media. Over the years, these entities have tirelessly worked to discredit concerns regarding fraud and ballot-harvesting.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, The Washington Post published a 2018 report. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/outlook\/2018\/10\/22\/voter-fraud-isnt-problem-america-low-turnout-is\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Long article<\/a> Voter fraud is being vilified and lamenting Republican-backed voter identity laws. \u201cextremely rare in recent elections.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe real problem with American elections is not voter fraud but abysmally low turnout that ranks the United States near the bottom of peer democracies,\u201d The diatribe is as follows. \u201cThe many forms of voter suppression now in place could have an effect on the outcome of the [2018] midterm elections, with many House, Senate and gubernatorial races decided by a handful of votes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Left-wing non-profits like The Center for American Progress have waged war on Americans who are concerned about electoral integrity.
