She claimed her 14th Amendment rights were violated by her daughter, 11, who was forced to change her gender identity and hide it from her.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe District\u2019s policy of transitioning kids behind their parents\u2019 backs is radical gender ideology at its worst,\u201d Harmeet Dhillon is the founder of The Center for American Liberty. \u201cFor the government to assume this role is both unconstitutional and reprehensible.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Center for American Liberty wants a permanent injunction to stop the \u201cParental Secrecy Policy\u201d District adopted the policy, which allows school personnel without parental consent to use powerful psychosocial interventions on children.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnder the Parental Secrecy Policy, schools in the District are prompting students to question their sexuality and gender, facilitating their social transition to a new gender identity, and integrating this new person into the school ecosystem, all without informing or receiving consent from their parents,\u201d The lawsuit claims.<\/p>\n<p>Regino\u2019s daughter, referred to as A.S. in the complaint, was a fifth-grade student at an elementary school in the district during the school year of 2021-2022, where she was allegedly influenced by a school counselor to adopt a transgender identity and hide it from her mother.<\/p>\n<p>The suit alleges the school\u2019s counselor, Mandi Robertson, regularly visited classrooms to instruct students on the topics of sexuality and \u201cgender identity.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The concept of \u201cgender identity\u201d It is controversial, but it has gained popularity as a way transgender people to express their feelings of \u201cmisalignment\u201d Many scientists believe that the body is the best way to find out. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/no-biological-evidence-for-gender-identity-exists-group-of-scientists-researchers-says\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">no empirical evidence<\/a> To support its existence, and that teaching the concept might be resulting in a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.segm.org\/false-assumptions-gender-affirmation-minors\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social contagion<\/a>\u201d effect on trans-identification.<\/p>\n<p>Robertson was accused of violating the terms and conditions of his employment. \u201cencourage students to explore their identity and consider whether they felt like they were not the gender associated with their biological sex\u201d You can claim this \u201csuch feelings were normal and that students should embrace them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When A.S. began struggling with anxiety after the recent death of her grfather, her mother\u2019s battle with breast cancer, and her father\u2019s disability, she was left \u201cfeeling mentally exhausted and emotionally confused\u201d and \u201cwondered if her new feelings of anxiety and depression were because she was born the wrong gender,\u201d The complaint says. \u201cThese feelings were the result of her exploring her identity consistent with Ms. Robertson\u2019s instructions.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Robertson is said to have invited A.S. for an arts and craft group. \u201cthe subject of the meetings quickly changed\u201d To \u201ca discussion regarding sexuality and gender identity,\u201d The complaint was filed.<\/p>\n<p>The suit alleges that Robertson invited A.S. to one-on-one sessions without her mother\u2019s knowledge or consent and then persuaded her to adopt a male identity, including a male name and male pronouns.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The complaint asserts that much to A.S.\u2019s discomfort, Robertson purportedly took it upon herself to tell other school employees and teachers to refer to A.S. by a male name and male pronouns. A.S. said that she felt uncomfortable. \u201cstuck\u201d in her new identity, which was maintained throughout the school year.<\/p>\n<p>Robertson allegedly discouraged A.S. to discuss her new identity with her mother, according to the complaint.
