Hur, a partner at Gibson, Dunn, &#038; Crutcher, will investigate if any person or entity violated this law,&#8221; Garland stated.<\/p>\n<p>Biden aides discovered classified documents at his Washington, D.C., think-tank, the Penn Biden Center, last Nov. 2. The White House announced that Biden staffers also found classified material in the garage at his Wilmington, Del. home on Thursday. Some records are classified as Top Secret and contain intelligence about Iran, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>Republicans have questioned why the White House waited for two months\u2014and until after the midterm election\u2014to disclose the discovery of the classified records.<\/p>\n<p>After a preliminary investigation by John Lausch (the U.S. Attorney for Chicago), Garland selected Hur to be his attorney. Garland tasked Lausch with looking into Biden\u2019s records on Nov. 14.
