The policy 321 will be amended so that teachers are not allowed to display items such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/pride-flag\">Pride flags<\/a> Black Lives Matter signs and MAGA Hats, as well as any other items that could be considered political influenced, are included. <\/p>\n<p>Policy 321 in its original 2018 edition is restricted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/education\">Teachers<\/a> Visual displays will be available in addition to participating during school hours in political events.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNeutrality and balance in classroom instruction are desired in order to create an optimal learning environment and atmosphere of inclusiveness, where all students are welcome,\u201d The policy <a href=\"https:\/\/delawarevalleyjournal.com\/read-for-yourself-central-bucks-school-board-ordinance-on-political-speech-in-classrooms\/\">states<\/a>. \u201cBecause views and beliefs about partisan, political, or social policy matters are often deeply personal, employees should not, during assigned work hours, advocate to students concerning their views or beliefs on these matters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The county of Central Bucks is just north Philadelphia.<\/p>\n<p>Two hours of public comments were heard by the school board. This included strong opinions from students, parents, and teachers who supported or opposed the policy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe conversation we had at the policy meeting was hot. I sincerely hope my fellow board members listen with an open heart\u2026this policy also includes language that I\u2019ve said out loud. We should be teaching how to think, not what to think,\u201d Board Member Tabitha Dell\u2019Angelo said, <a href=\"https:\/\/delawarevalleyjournal.com\/despite-opposition-central-bucks-school-board-approves-policy-to-keep-teachers-politics-from-classrooms\/\">Per<\/a> Delaware Valley News Journal is a local news outlet.<\/p>\n<p>Opponents refer to the policy as a form of censorship.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m concerned as a parent,\u201d Heather Reynolds stated this, according to CBS News Philadelphia. \u201cI\u2019m concerned as a community member.
