The latest tranche was found in Biden\u2019s locked garage and in a room adjacent to it, according to the White House.<\/p>\n<p>The discovery of classified records at Biden\u2019s home is certain to fuel calls to appoint a special counsel to oversee an investigation into how the materials ended up at Biden\u2019s properties. Attorney General Merrick Garland reportedly appointed the U.S. attorney for Chicago to conduct a preliminary investigation into the documents found at Biden\u2019s office, and may also appoint a special counsel to investigate the matter, <em>Bloomberg<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2023-01-12\/merrick-garland-considering-special-counsel-appointment-in-biden-documents-probe?srnd=us-politics&#038;sref=ohmtMHdW&#038;leadSource=uverify%20wall\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Biden confirmed on Thursday that documents had been found in his garage and right next to his Corvette.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Classified materials, next to your Corvette? What were you thinking?&#8221; Fox News\u2019 Peter Doocy asked Biden at a press conference.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;My Corvette&#8217;s in a locked garage, okay? So it&#8217;s not like they&#8217;re sitting out on the street.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Biden, who is self-described as a &#8220;self-described&#8221; politician &#8220;car guy,&#8221; A 1967 Corvette Stingray is his. The classic American muscle car is often kept in a locked garage but the president seems to be driving it frequently. According to reports the documents contained Top Secret information on the United Kingdom, Iran, and Ukraine.
