In the second one, &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/tipsheet\/rebeccadowns\/2023\/01\/04\/yet-another-batch-of-twitter-files-released-this-time-on-covid-cover-up-n2617854\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Twitter and the FBI &#8216;Belly Button<\/a>,'&#8221; which has to do with a COVID cover-up, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) is referenced further down in the thread based on claims that he asked Twitter to suspend Paul Sperry, of RealClearInvestigations and the New York Post. Although the social media platform initially declined to suspend Sperry, it eventually did.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">28.\u201cWE DON\u2019T DO THIS\u201d Even Twitter declined to honor Schiff\u2019s request at the time. When it comes to that lawsuit, Sperry says &#8220;we are exploring legal options, including defamation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;So, Schiff didn&#8217;t like the fact I outed<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/republicans-parrot-trump-in-calling-whistleblower-highly-partisan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">His anonymous whistleblower<\/a><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>as a partisan Democrat \u2014 he&#8217;s a holdover from the Obama White House working in the Trump White House. And [Schiff] also didn&#8217;t like the fact that I exposed the whistleblower&#8217;s prior relationship with the key member of Schiff&#8217;s impeachment staff,&#8221; Sperry had also said, describing himself as &#8220;kind of a thorn in Schiff&#8217;s side,&#8221; which made the congressman &#8220;angry.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Twitter suspension came without any real reason, and Sperry also mentioned how said the congressman&#8217;s interference affected his ability to do his job.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Speaking more about the oath he believes Schiff violated, Sperry pointed out that &#8220;my stories went<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/tech\/companies\/twitter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">viral on Twitter<\/a>, and he tried to silence me and remove content, which is outrageous censorship by a powerful government official. He was the head of the House Intelligence [Committee] at the time, and he was sworn to protect the First Amendment and free speech and the press.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Townhall reached out to Rep. Schiff&#8217;s office multiple times for comment about the congressman being mentioned in the Twitter files, as well as Mr. Sperry&#8217;s claims, but has not heard back. The congressman has also been silent about this edition of Twitter Files when it comes to his own tweets.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Schiff did, however, <a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/tipsheet\/rebeccadowns\/2022\/12\/20\/cnns-oliver-darcy-still-harping-on-journalism-ban-even-after-reinstatements-n2617369\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">provide a statement to<\/a> CNN&#8217;s Oliver Darcy last month with regards to concerns from Elon Musk that the congressman approved of censorship.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">New: <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepAdamSchiff?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@RepAdamSchiff<\/a> responds to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@elonmusk<\/a> suggesting he might have approved &#8220;hidden state censorship.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;No, I don\u2019t support censorship.
