The test took almost one year to complete.\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/us-air-force-fighter-jet-f-15ex-demonstrates-more-missiles-2023-1\"><span>F-15EX Eagle II<\/span><\/a><span>\u00a0Live munitions were first fired.\u00a0<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<h2><b>The F-15EX Eagle II\u2019s Beast Mode\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span>Finally,\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.airforcetimes.com\/news\/your-air-force\/2022\/12\/29\/new-in-2023-welcoming-new-airframes-to-the-fleet\/\"><span>Air Force<\/span><\/a><span>\u00a0The F-15EX Eagle II will be equipped with 12 air-to-air weapons, such as AIM-9 Sidewinder or AIM-120 AmRAAM. It would be the most heavily equipped air superiority fighter. For comparison, older versions of the F-15, as well as the F-22 Raptor stealth fighter, can carry up to eight air-to-air munitions; the F-16 Fighting Falcon six air-to-air munitions; and the F-35 Lighting II carries up to six \u2013 four in its internal weapon bays and two in external hardpoints.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p><span>The\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/news.usni.org\/2022\/10\/11\/report-to-congress-on-the-air-force-f-15ex-eagle-ii-fighter-program\"><span>F-15EX Eagle II<\/span><\/a><span>\u00a0The F-15, the most deadly fighter jet in the universe today, is being rebuilt on the F-15&#8217;s airframe. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Since 1974, when there was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.19fortyfive.com\/2023\/01\/f-15s-and-f-35i-adir-fighters-are-training-for-war-against-iran\/\">F-15<\/a> Since its inception, the various variants of this aircraft have destroyed 104 aircraft without losing one. <\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p><span>The F-15&#8217;s most fatalities have been claimed by the Israeli Air Force, which has had the F-15 in service for over a decade.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The latest air superiority fighter jet can reach Mach-2.5 speeds and has an operating ceiling of 70,000ft. External fuel tanks allow the aircraft to be powered by external fuel.\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sandboxx.us\/blog\/air-forces-new-f-15ex-makes-dogfighting-debut-in-alaska-war-games\/\"><span>F-15EX Eagle II<\/span><\/a><span>\u00a0The range is greater than 1,250 miles. These are remarkable characteristics. But, even more impressive is the fact that the.\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.19fortyfive.com\/2023\/01\/f-15ex-the-u-s-air-force-now-has-a-real-missile-truck\/\"><span>F-15EX Eagle II<\/span><\/a><span>\u00a0You can do all of the above with only 30,000 pounds of weapons. <\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p><span>This fighter jet has an updated cockpit and electronic warfare capabilities.\u00a0<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p><span>The F-15EX Eagle II was created by foreign buyers who continue to support the F-15 program.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Complementary F-35\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span>The\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.19fortyfive.com\/2022\/12\/could-the-f-15ex-really-go-to-war-against-china-and-win\/\"><span>F-15EX Eagle II<\/span><\/a><span>\u00a0It has been able to reduce the number of\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/breakingdefense.com\/2022\/04\/air-forces-math-on-the-f-15ex-and-f-35-doesnt-add-up\/\"><span>F-35 Lightning II<\/span><\/a><span>\u00a0Pentagon will purchase stealth fighter planes\u00a0<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p><span>The aircraft cost approximately $90 million\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.airforce-technology.com\/news\/usafs-f15ex-acoustic-testing\/\"><span>F-15EX Eagle II<\/span><\/a><span>\u00a0It is more expensive than the F-35 Lighting II which costs around $80 million. (The stealth fighter plane&#8217;s price has fluctuated over the years. However, the Air Force anticipates that the F-15EX Eagle II would last nearly three times as many years as its fifth generation counterpart. <\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p><span>In fact, the F-15EX Eagle II should last for around 20,000 flight hours. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.19fortyfive.com\/2023\/01\/russias-ukraine-war-pushed-canada-into-buying-f-35-stealth-fighter\/\">F-35 Lighting II<\/a> There are approximately 8,000 hours of flight time.\u00a0<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p><span>Another reason is easy integration\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thedrive.com\/the-war-zone\/44093\/the-f-15ex-has-fired-its-first-missile\"><span>F-15EX Eagle II<\/span><\/a><span>\u00a0The F-15EX Eagle II is a popular choice within the Department of Defense.
