This law allows any infant born alive to survive an abortion. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/idaho-supreme-court-upholds-abortion-law-after-planned-parenthood-challenge\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tried abortion<\/a> It is possible to &#8220;legal person for all purposes under the laws of the United States.&#8221; These infants will require medical attention from doctors. &#8220;reasonably diligent and conscientious health care practitioner would render to any other child born alive.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The bill passed 220-210. All 210 of the &#8220;no&#8221; Votes came from Democrats<\/p>\n<p>Doctors would have to admit the infants to a hospital if they are satisfied with this level of care. Violations of this standard could lead to fines, imprisonment, or both.<\/p>\n<p>Republicans argued on the floor that comments from Virginia\u2019s former Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam&#8217;s comments are a good example of why it is important to clarify the law to ensure that newborn babies who survive abortions are protected. Northam was referring to third-trimester abortions. Northam of the state of Virginia stated this: \u2018The infant would be delivered, the infant would be kept comfortable, the infant would be resuscitated if that\u2019s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother,\u2019&#8221;  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/jim-jordan-led-subcommittee-charged-oversight-biden-admin-weaponization-passes-house\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rep. Jim Jordan<\/a>, R-Ohio.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The cavalier attitude he displayed towards human life is just wrong,&#8221; Jordan spoke. &#8220;It is simple. Infants born alive following an abortion are kids, are children. All newborns deserve the same level of care.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>However, the bill was overwhelmingly rejected by Democrats. Some, including Rep. It is not about the protection of newborn children. It\u2019s about control,&#8221; Rep. Sydney Kamlager Dove, D.Calif. &#8220;It\u2019s about the nation-wide abortion ban that Republicans have been itching to enact since the overturning of Roe v. Wade.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.), House Minority Leader, has accused Republicans of bringing up this bill. &#8220;as part of your march to criminalize abortion care, to impose a nationwide ban, to set into motion government-mandated pregnancies.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Suzanne Bonamici (D-Ore.) also referred to the bill as an attempt at banning abortion and stated that it is. &#8220;extremist, dangerous and unnecessary.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Rep. However, Republicans charged Democrats with opposing the legislation in order to advance their radical agenda of abortion-on-demand.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Taking the life of unborn children right up to their birthday, and then as Gov. Northam has pointed out, even after that,&#8221; Jordan spoke. &#8220;We want to make sure that \u2018even after that\u2019 part never happens.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I find it absurd, I find it unconscionable that this would be a matter of discussion on this body, that we would not render medical aid to the most innocent amongst us, an unborn child that is born alive after the most traumatic circumstances possible,&#8221; said.
