Now, elected officials are attacking them for subverting another standard legal: providing evidence.<\/p>\n<p>A judge <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/news\/courts\/2023\/01\/06\/judge-says-dallas-da-has-widespread-problem-with-turning-over-evidence-he-disagrees\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Scolded<\/a> John Creuzot, Dallas district attorney (D.), last week for his &#8220;widespread&#8221; Inability to share evidence with defense attorneys Virginia has left-leaning prosecutor. <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/courts\/virginia-judge-kicks-soros-prosecutor-off-case-for-concealing-criminal-records\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">kicked<\/a> Cases and Accessories <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/courts\/mother-of-child-rape-victim-sues-virginia-soros-prosecutor-in-federal-court\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sued<\/a> To conceal or withhold evidence &#8220;sell&#8221; plea deals. Pennsylvania legislators <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/politics\/pennsylvania-lawmakers-vote-to-impeach-phillys-soros-prosecutor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Impeached<\/a> Larry Krasner, a radical Philadelphia prosecutor (D.), for routinely withholding evidence in court proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>These blunders often have deadly consequences, as prosecutors may be forced to downgrade charges or enter into lesser plea deals when evidentiary standards aren\u2019t met. In Fairfax County, Va., prosecutor Steve Descano (D.) has set loose dangerous offenders after not being forthcoming with evidence\u2014one of whom <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/politics\/how-one-progressive-prosecutor-paved-the-way-for-an-east-coast-shooting-spree\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A shooting spree<\/a> Following his release.<\/p>\n<p>Charles Stimson is a former federal prosecutor who was also a senior legal fellow at Heritage Foundation. <em>Washington Free Beacon<\/em> This is more a feature of the progressive prosecutor movement than a bug. Typically these attorneys\u2014many of whom received sizable donations from the liberal billionaire George Soros\u2014lack prosecutorial experience and have fired dozens of career prosecutors after taking office, often replacing them with a staff of ill-trained public defenders.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They\u2019re incompetent at being prosecutors because most of them have never been a prosecutor,&#8221; Stimson stated. &#8220;They\u2019re hiring defense-oriented public defenders who aren\u2019t used to turning over any evidence to the other side \u2026 They see the cops as the bad guys, the victims as invisible, and the defendants as the victims.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Statements and actions by prosecutors like Krasner support this notion, who has spoken out to refer to himself as &#8220;a public defender with power.&#8221; He was elected in 2017 and dismissed 31 of the prosecutors he had appointed, including several veteran lawyers who were charged with handling cases involving homicide.
