This forced thousands of US citizens to take shelter in the USA. <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/flight-gets-hairy-for-passenger-as-woman-tosses-hair-onto-tray-table\">Flying<\/a> delays or cancellations. According to the Biden administration, it wasn&#8217;t a cyberattack. However, they don&#8217;t know what&#8217;s happening.<\/p>\n<p>The system is called the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faa.gov\/about\/initiatives\/notam\/what_is_a_notam\">Notice to Air Missions or NOTAM<\/a>The flight safety checklist, which pilots must review before taking off, details potential adverse effects to flights. According to flight tracking websites, over 6,000 flights were delayed and 1,000 flights were cancelled by Wednesday morning. <a href=\"https:\/\/flightaware.com\/\">FlightAware<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While travelers and airlines scrambled to get where they needed to be and to figure out what was causing the system failure, the Biden administration provided no concrete answers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I just spoke to Buttigieg. They don&#8217;t know what the cause is. But I was on the phone with him about 10 minutes,&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/breaking-biden-kept-classified-docs-related-to-ukraine-iran-uk-from-2013-2016-report\">President Joe Biden<\/a> said this morning to reporters outside of the White House. &#8220;I told him to report directly to me when they find out. Air traffic can still land safely, just not take off right now. We don\u2019t know what the cause of it is.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><\/blockquote>\n<p>White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that there is &#8220;no evidence of a cyberattack at this point,&#8221; but that a full investigation will be conducted.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/pete-buttigieg-warned-months-ago-about-potential-christmas-airline-chaos\">Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg<\/a> after speaking with Biden, announced that the outage had been restored, though the &#8220;root causes&#8221; are still unknown.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\"><\/blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;You are the root cause,&#8221; the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LPNH\/status\/1613195391708585985\">replied<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The after-action process should start with your resignation,&#8221; grassroots group Tea Party Patriots <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TPPatriots\/status\/1613189480608894983\">chimed in with<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Commentator Charles R.
