These are all for crimes that have fascinated the nation in recent years. <\/p>\n<p>Here are the trials that you need to be on the lookout for in 2023<\/p>\n<p>University of Idaho Killings<\/p>\n<p>In the grisly murders of, a suspect was taken into custody just before the start of the new year. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/heres-how-police-captured-the-man-suspected-of-killing-four-university-of-idaho-students\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Four University of Idaho students<\/a> He may be subject to a trial in the near future.<\/p>\n<p>According to Daily Wire policy, the suspect was not named. He was taken into custody in Monroe County, Pennsylvania. This is approximately 2,400 miles from where the murders took place.<\/p>\n<p>Ethan Chapin (20), Kaylee Goncalves (20), Xana Kernodle (20) and Madison Mogen (21) were all killed at an off-campus residence on the morning of November 13, 2022. Police remained silent for weeks about the case. However, they finally announced that a suspect was arrested on December 30th. The suspect is a Washington State University graduate student in criminal justice and crimeology. He is expected to plead guilty.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. v. David DePape<\/p>\n<p>David DePape, 42 years old, was arrested for assaulting Paul Pelosi with a hammer in his San Francisco, California home. DePape was accused of attempted murder, assault with deadly weapon, elder abuse, Fox News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/suspected-paul-pelosi-attacker-david-depape-pleads-not-guilty\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> December<\/p>\n<p>DePape pleaded not guilty and allegedly had a planned hit list of other targets, including actor Tom Hanks and President Joe Biden\u2019s son, Hunter.<\/p>\n<p>Although no trial date has been set, it is expected to take place sometime between 2023 and 2024.<\/p>\n<p>South Carolina v. Alex Murdaugh<\/p>\n<p>Alex Murdaugh, disgraced attorney, will finally be tried when his trial opens on January 23. For allegedly murdering his wife and son in cover-up, he faces murder charges <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/disgraced-former-attorney-alex-murdaugh-pleads-not-guilty-to-killing-wife-son\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a long list<\/a> Financial crimes include money laundering and the stealing of settlement money from clients. Murdaugh pleaded guilty to the charges in July.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He was already serving time for several other charges, including financial crime and charges related his alleged attempt at staging a fake. \u201chit\u201d on him. These are the charges.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/national\/alex-murdaugh-charged-with-murder-in-death-of-wife-son\/2022\/07\/14\/677dce78-0387-11ed-8beb-2b4e481b1500_story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According to The Washington Post<\/a>The indictments were made after his son and wife were killed. However, he was not charged for their deaths until last July.<\/p>\n<p>Florida v. Charlie Adelson<\/p>\n<p>Florida State University law Professor Dan Markel pulled into his garage on July 18, 2014 and was immediately shot to death. Years later, an apparent conspiracy behind his death came to light: Locked in a custody battle with his ex-wife, Wendi Adelson, Markel was killed in a murder-for-hire plot allegedly orchestrated by Charlie Adelson (Wendi\u2019s brother) and Donna Adelson (Charlie and Wendi\u2019s mother), who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tallahassee.com\/story\/news\/2022\/11\/16\/dan-markel-murder-katherine-magbanua-may-testify-against-charlie-adelson\/10713968002\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According to some reports, he used a woman<\/a> Katherine Magbanua was appointed as an intermediary for two men, Sigfredo Garcia and Luis Rivera to murder Markel.<\/p>\n<p>Rivera pleaded guilty and was sentenced 19 years in prison. Garcia was also found guilty and sentenced life imprisonment. Magbanua was also sentenced to life imprisonment and two additional 30-year sentences. Jury selection for Charlie Adelson\u2019s trial is set to begin on April 24.<\/p>\n<p>Texas v. Kaitlin Armstrong<\/p>\n<p>Kaitlin is accused of shooting Anna Moriah \u201cMo\u201d Wilson, Austin, Texas on May 11, as part of a failed love triangle. U.S. Marshals, working with Homeland Security Investigations, learned that Armstrong boarded a flight in New Jersey by using a fraudulent passport and landed in Costa Rica on May 18 \u2013 one week after Wilson was murdered and one day after an arrest warrant was issued for Armstrong.<\/p>\n<p>Armstrong is believed to have killed Wilson because they were romantically involved with the same man, Colin Strickland, a professional cyclist. Armstrong and Strickland were together for three years. Then, they parted ways. Strickland started to notice Wilson during that period. Strickland and Armstrong were reunited a month later after their relationship was over for a short time.<\/p>\n<p>Armstrong\u2019s trial is scheduled for June 26.<\/p>\n<p>Florida v. Scot Peterson<\/p>\n<p>Scot Peterson was a Broward Sheriff\u2019s Office deputy on duty at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida in February 2018 when a 19-year-old former student entered the building and shot and killed 17 people.<\/p>\n<p>Peterson was present at the high school at the time of the shooting, but he remained outside as the shooter shot down students and staff. After the shooting, Peterson was fired and was immediately suspended without pay. However, more than a year later, he had been arrested and was charged with perjury, child neglect, and culpable negligent. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and requested that they be dropped. His trial was delayed in July. It is scheduled to begin on February 27.<\/p>\n<p>Wisconsin v.
