Marjorie Taylor Greene (R. GA) with legal action because Dr. Dre used one his songs in a tweet video without his permission.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Twitter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2023\/01\/09\/dr-dre-didnt-license-song-rep-marjorie-taylor-green-video\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Verified<\/a> Greene was forced to delete her account following flagging of the song on the platform for copyright violations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe write you on behalf of our client, Andre Young p\/k\/a Dr. Dre, composer and performer of the hit song \u2018Still D.R.E.,&#8217;\u201d Greene was informed by Dre&#8217;s attorney in a letter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou are wrongfully exploiting this work through the various social media outlets to promote your divisive and hateful political agenda,\u201d The letter has been added.<\/p>\n<p>Greene provided an instrumental version of the song, with the lyrics removed.<\/p>\n<p>Dre, whose real identity is Andre Young was also mentioned in the letter \u201chas not, and will never, grant you permission to broadcast or disseminate any of his music.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe use of \u2018Still D.R.E.\u2019 without permission constitutes copyright infringement in violation of 17 U.S.C. 501.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyfetched.com\/marjorie-taylor-greene-someone-wanted-to-get-me-killed\/\">Marjorie Taylor Greene: \u2018Someone Wanted to Get Me Killed\u2019<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne might expect that, as a member of Congress, you would have a passing familiarity with the laws of our country,\u201d The letter was continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s possible, though, that laws governing intellectual property are a little too arcane and insufficiently populist for you to really have spent much time on. We\u2019re writing because we think an actual lawmaker should be making laws not breaking laws, especially those embodied in the constitution by the founding fathers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The letter demanded Greene meet their demands by Wednesday at the latest.<\/p>\n<p>But Greene fired back, blasting the subject matter of Dre\u2019s music:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile I appreciate the creative chord progression, I would never play your words of violence against women and police officers, and your glorification of the thug life and drugs,\u201d Greene stated.<\/p>\n<p>Greene shared a screenshot with the caption of her statement. \u201cThe next episode,\u201d a troll on the Rapper\u2019s top song \u201cThe Next Episode.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Dre threatened Rep.
