Both were actually released. \u2018The Way of Water\u2019  \u2018Avatar 3\u2019 They were simultaneously filmed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Both 4 and 5 seem to be possible.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/entertainment\/avatar-director-james-cameron-disses-marvel-films-says-special-effects-arent-even-close\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noreferrer noopener\">Cameron added<\/a>, \u201cThe point is we\u2019re going to be okay. I\u2019m sure that we\u2019ll have a discussion soon with the top folks at Disney about the game plan going forward for\u00a0\u2018Avatar 3,\u2019 which is already in the can \u2013 we\u2019ve already captured and photographed the whole film, so we\u2019re in extended post-production to do all that CG magic. And then\u00a0\u2018Avatar 4\u2019\u00a0and\u00a0\u20185\u2019\u00a0are both written. We even have some of\u00a0\u20184\u2019\u00a0in the can. We\u2019ve begun a franchise at this point.
