FELON is Russia\u2019s most advanced fifth-generation supersonic combat jet, employing stealth technologies and highly advanced avionics.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>The MoD has added \u201cThese missions have likely been limited to flying over Russian territory, launching long range air-to-surface or air-to-air missiles into Ukraine,\u201d Recent imagery commercially available apparently showed five Su-57s \u201cparked\u201d Akhtubinsk Airbase is the home of the 929th Flight Test Center.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs this is the only known FELON base, these aircraft have likely been involved in operations against Ukraine,\u201d The MoD suggested. \u201cRussia is highly likely prioritising avoiding the reputational damage, reduced export prospects, and the compromise of sensitive technology which would come from any loss of FELON over Ukraine,\u201d And \u201cThis is symptomatic of Russia\u2019s continued risk-averse approach to employing its air force in the war.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Su-57: Brilliant Aircraft<\/h2>\n<p>Sergey Shoigu, the Defense Minister of Army General, told Rossiya-1 TV that the Su-57 was used in Ukraine.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.19fortyfive.com\/2022\/10\/did-putin-send-the-su-57-stealth-fighter-to-ukraine\/\"> It had been performed \u201cbrilliantly\u201d<\/a> Even though there was no evidence to support the claim, it is possible that the fifth-generation fighter has been deployed. According to a source within the Russian aerospace industry,<a href=\"https:\/\/tass.com\/defense\/1496395\"> Tass previously<\/a> The Su-57 may have also participated in combat operations. However, very few details were given.\n<\/p>\n<p>The Felon was believed to have been tested first in combat operations in Syria in 2018. However, it did not face any actual aerial opposition and probably only limited ground-based antiaircraft. The situation in Ukraine would be quite different, as Russia doesn\u2019t maintain air superiority in the skies over Ukraine, while Kyiv\u2019s forces are equipped with a significant number of S-300 air defense systems.<\/p>\n<p>Russia may also be a potential partner in the<a href=\"http:\/\/www.military-today.com\/aircraft\/sukhoi_pak_fa.htm\"> Multi-role Su-57 capabilities<\/a>, including the fact that it was designed to destroy all types of air, ground, and surface targets, but it clearly isn\u2019t risking the aircraft in a contested environment. While the Felon is reported to also have supersonic cruising speed, in-fuselage armament, and radio absorption coating (stealth technology), as well as the latest complex of onboard equipment, the Kremlin currently operates only a handful of the aircraft \u2013 and clearly doesn\u2019t want to risk any.\n<\/p>\n<p>The Russian Air Force was to be received<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aerotime.aero\/articles\/russia-announces-delivery-of-four-new-su-57s-total-number-remains-unclear\"> Twenty-two Su-57s will be in service by 2024<\/a>While that number would rise to seventy six by 2028, Moscow may not be able to meet these numbers due to the sanctions it has imposed upon Russia.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI find it nearly beyond insane that Russia would ever send the Su-57 to fight in Ukraine,\u201d Harry J.
