These documents were definitely not declassified,\u201d Trump stated this on Truth Social Sharing the CBS News report.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The classified documents were discovered by Biden\u2019s personal attorneys as they <em>&#8220;<\/em>were packing files housed in a locked closet to prepare to vacate office space at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, D.C.,&#8221; Richard Sauber was special counsel to President Obama, according to CBS News.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The National Archives was notified of the discovery shortly before the midterm election on Nov. 2. They then took possession of the documents that day.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Trump\u2019s Mar-a-Lago residence was raided by FBI agents in August, where investigators found more than a hundred classified documents. Although there were fewer items at Biden\u2019s office, Trump publicly criticized his predecessor and wondered how. \u201canyone could be that irresponsible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden, as VP, would have been subject the Presidential Records Act.
