Go for it!<\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">I say live and let live.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>When people like former Mayor Mike Bloomberg (Fascist-NYC) argued that America\u2019s obesity problem increases everyone else\u2019s healthcare costs, my response was, <em>So what? I\u2019m willing to pay for freedom, for the right of people to live their lives however they choose. This belief is still my stronghold, even though I strongly oppose same-sex marriage. But why shouldn\u2019t they have the same rights?<\/p>\n<p>Oh, but look at us now\u2026<\/p>\n<p>The Alphabet People demand special treatment. They even ask that we agree to allow women to magically transform into men.<\/p>\n<p class=\"a8d-pre\">Now, the obese need special treatment. We must agree that being fat is good for your health. Good grief. You should listen to this baby.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Before I had started remote work, I would hate going to the office kitchen every January. Nearly every conversation would include how. \u201cbad\u201d People had eaten during the holidays and how did they feel? \u201cgood\u201d They had to be right now. As they described exercise as a self-inflicted punishment for eating well, I looked blankly at them.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>No, it was not so. You had to listen when people shared their beliefs.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m so sorry that happened to you. Were Ben &#038; Jerry\u2019s able to get you through the night?<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>It would appear at work, which was the worst. While I could report social ads or mute friends quickly, I was unable to escape an email from human resources asking staff to join a weight loss team challenge that includes monthly weigh-ins. Or a boss who encourages all her employees to get Fitbits so they can compete in daily steps. (Both of these are real events that took place at my two previous jobs.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Egads. That didn\u2019t even happen at Auschwitz.<\/p>\n<p>Listen, I\u2019m no fan of workplace busybodies running around telling everyone to count their steps, but I\u2019m also not a grown baby who can\u2019t shrug these things off.<\/p>\n<p>But I\u2019ll tell you this\u2026 At least those busybodies come from a place of science\u2026 Regardless of their motive, which can be honorable or mean-spirited, at least they are correct in pushing the idea that weight loss is a healthy thing. They aren&#8217;t nearly as dishonest and toxic as those anti-science busybodies who tell us to treat fat like an enemy. \u201cidentity\u201d oder these savage fat activists telling us what fat is <em>Healthy<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Lizzo is healthy. Yes, smoking is also healthy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFatphopbia\u201d A healthy lifestyle is good for you. We should be worried about getting fat because excess weight isn\u2019t only going to shorten your life. It can affect your spirituality as well as your psychological health. It can cause heart disease. <em><\/em> depression. Overweight is not good for you. Nothing. The greatest natural medicine in this world is exercise.<\/p>\n<p>People are entitled to be obese or fat and not be insulted or ridiculed. Some Americans believe that the upside of being able to eat whatever they like in front of the television is worth it. I\u2019m cool with that. It&#8217;s even something I can understand. I&#8217;ve tried it a couple of times but couldn&#8217;t handle the weight gain. It makes me miserable.
