This expansion would allow an additional 30,000 migrants from Venezuela, Haiti, Cuba, and Nicaragua to remain in the United States.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>As Just the News\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/justthenews.com\/nation\/states\/center-square\/immigration-parole-program-biden-says-hes-expanding-already-faces-legal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Biden made the announcement after a record 68,044 Cubans and Nicaraguans and 6,232 Venezuelans were apprehended in November illegally entering the U.S., according to CBP data; and after more than 600,000 foreign nationals from all over the world were apprehended or evaded capture in November and December 2022 combined, and a record 3.3 million were apprehended in fiscal 2022.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Biden\u2019s expanded immigration parole program already faces legal challenge | Just The News <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/K6NV3Tap39\">https:\/\/t.co\/K6NV3Tap39<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Just the News (@JustTheNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JustTheNews\/status\/1611335563600084992?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 6, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Moody\u2019s office\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myfloridalegal.com\/newsrel.nsf\/newsreleases\/66378DBA24E2E4AF8525892E0057A6DD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">claimed<\/a>\u00a0the state has \u201cuncovered evidence of Biden ignoring public-safety immigration laws allowing more than 1 million unvetted, inadmissible immigrants into the interior.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The upcoming trial \u201cwill once again show that the Biden administration is threatening Americans\u2019 safety by intentionally weakening our nation\u2019s border security,\u201d Moody\u2019s office continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese policies harm Florida. Biden\u2019s actions are beyond irresponsible and put Americans at risk. Now, because of our litigation, the president must defend his reckless actions and refusal to follow the law in a federal courtroom.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>However, U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) attorneys\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tampabay.com\/news\/florida-politics\/2023\/01\/05\/floridas-lawsuit-against-feds-over-biden-immigration-policies-set-begin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">argued<\/a>\u00a0in an October filing that the federal government has discretion over immigration policies and claimed that Florida is asking U.S. District Judge T. Kent Wetherell II to \u201csecond-guess discretionary decisions by the Department of Homeland Security about how to enforce immigration law most effectively and efficiently.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis court should decline Florida\u2019s invitation to undermine the principles of federalism and separation of powers upon which the U.S. constitutional system is based,\u201d the DOJ filing continued.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Wetherell of the Northern District of Florida Pensacola Division is scheduled to begin the trial on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The case is\u00a0<em>Florida v.
