Adam Schiff\u2019s office to silence him, to get him suspended from Twitter as well as to shut down his reporting about things that Schiff <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/01\/06\/how-democrat-adam-schiff-abused-his-power-to-demand-i-be-kicked-off-twitter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">didn\u2019t want to be exposed.<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>In articles for RealClearInvestigations, I outed his anonymous \u201cwhistleblower\u201d from the first impeachment of President Trump. It was Eric Ciaramella, a Democrat who had worked in the Trump White House as an Obama holdover. I also exposed Ciaramella\u2019s prior relationship with one of Schiff\u2019s top staffers on the impeachment committee, Sean Misko.<\/p>\n<p>My reporting cast fresh doubts on Schiff\u2019s claims that the 2019 impeachment process happened organically. The New York Times had already busted Schiff lying about prior contacts with the whistleblower. Initially, Schiff publicly stated his office never spoke with the whistleblower before he filed his complaint against President Trump, when in fact a Schiff staffer had huddled with him, something Schiff\u2019s spokesman Patrick Boland was forced to admit after the Times broke the story. (The staffer was never identified.) The prior contacts led to suspicions Schiff\u2019s office helped the whistleblower craft his complaint as part of a partisan operation.<\/p>\n<p>In the censorship demands Schiff\u2019s office sent Twitter, Misko and the \u201cimpeachment inquiry\u201d are mentioned. It\u2019s not clear if Ciaramella is, too, since some names are blacked out. Schiff demanded Twitter \u201cremove any and all content\u201d\u2019 related to them.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Schiff told Twitter it was about shutting down \u201cQAnon conspiracies\u201d but as Sperry pointed out that wasn\u2019t it at all.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>In his list of demands, Schiff tried to justify banning me by claiming I was promoting \u201cfalse QAnon conspiracies,\u201d which I have never done and I challenge Schiff to produce evidence to back up his defamatory remarks.<\/p>\n<p>Schiff knew better. He knew \u201cQAnon\u201d was a trigger for Twitter censors, who were suppressing QAnon posts.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This, even though it was Schiff who was spreading things like false Russia collusion information, Sperry said.<\/p>\n<p>Sperry pointed out how Schiff\u2019s office also tried to get his stories shut down by his chief of staff Patrick Boland calling his employer, RealClear Investigations with the ridiculous claim that they would \u201cresult in actual violence,\u201d trying to use Jan. 6., when the stories exposed Schiff.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Months after Schiff lobbied Twitter to ban me and remove all the impeachment-related content from its platform, his communications director and chief of staff \u2014 Patrick Boland \u2014 tried to intimidate my editors at RCI into retracting the impeachment stories I broke a year earlier.<\/p>\n<p>In his emails, Boland invoked \u201cthe events of January 6,\u201d warning our stories could \u201cresult in actual violence\u201d if they remained online. Over time, Boland\u2019s demands became more and more strident. But my editors refused to give in to the bullying.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Sperry <a href=\"https:\/\/twitchy.com\/samj-3930\/2023\/01\/08\/paul-sperry-pulls-zero-punches-taking-adam-schiff-apart-for-violating-his-oath-to-the-constitution\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">laid out Schiff<\/a> for violating his oath and he asked the liberal media where they were on this whole matter when they seem to be missing in action when it comes to busting a prominent Democrat like Schiff.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">This is the oath <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AdamSchiff?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@AdamSchiff<\/a> violated:<br \/>\u201cI do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution [incl the First Amendment]; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Paul Sperry (@paulsperry_) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/paulsperry_\/status\/1611876606695333893?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">January 8, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">DEVELOPING: DC press corps, including WaPo &#038; POLITICO, have failed to cover congressional leader Adam Schiff strong-arming Twitter to ban a journalist, abridging press freedom &#038; free speech,despite the smoking-gun email released from <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/TwitterFiles?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#TwitterFiles<\/a>. Twitter bans me<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Paul Sperry (@paulsperry_) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/paulsperry_\/status\/1611954055101747200?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">January 8, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This is every danger to freedom of speech right there and this is how they were misusing Jan. 6 to shut down speech that exposed them. That alone is shameful, but as we see from what Schiff has done in the past, he has no shame.<\/p>\n<p>Sperry has indicated that he is looking into what <a href=\"https:\/\/redstate.com\/nick-arama\/2023\/01\/06\/journalist-paul-sperry-taking-actions-to-hold-adam-schiff-to-account-on-twitter-files-n684610\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">legal options<\/a> he has regarding what happened and against Schiff.<\/p>\n<p>As we noted, if he does that, he could get all kinds of things in discovery that could open up what Schiff\u2019s office had been doing.<\/p>\n<p>But Congress also should be taking action against Schiff for what he did and now that the Republicans have taken over, they can.<\/p>\n<p>Schiff is about to lose his position on the House Intel Committee if House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (D-CA) follows through on his promise. So at least there will be that accountability \u2014 removing the position from where he launched so many lies. But they need to take formal action. And it sounds like Rep. Adam Schiff is <a href=\"https:\/\/twitchy.com\/samj-3930\/2023\/01\/08\/adam-schiff-for-brains-sure-sounds-nervous-about-mccarthy-and-new-house-rules-gosh-wonder-why\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">not at all happy<\/a> and is getting nervous about what might happen now.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Looks like Kevin McCarthy conceded all the power of his office to the crazies to finally get their votes.<\/p>\n<p>He had to give away the house to do it, and that was a sacrifice he was willing to make \u2014 for the title.<\/p>\n<p>He will be a speaker in name only.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Adam Schiff (@RepAdamSchiff) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepAdamSchiff\/status\/1611596085633634305?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">January 7, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>That says it all right there \u2014 the Democrats who claim that they\u2019re fighting for \u201cdemocracy\u201d are upset when there is more of it, when the individual members can have more say \u2014 as they should \u2014 rather than everything being dictated by leadership.
