The Bill was nicknamed the \u201cMillstone Act\u201d and it\u2019s almost certain to draw a court challenge as soon as it goes into the books. And This is one instance where I believe any potential plaintiffs aged between 18- 25 who challenge the law might be successful in court. As As I mentioned, most states that have laws similar to this set the minimum age for these types of medical treatment at 18. If adults aren\u2019t mature enough to make medical decisions until they are 26, what else might they be barred from doing? Will They will be able to buy and consume alcohol. Can They enlist in the military to protect their country. Can They can even safely drive a motor vehicle. And even if we\u2019re somehow limiting this restriction to medical procedures, only transgender \u201ctreatment\u201d This law bans the use of this word. Can A 25-year-old consents to have a dentist pull a teeth or have an appendix bursting without a note from his parents. This is a very narrow list of restrictions.<\/p>\n<p>Personally, I\u2019m fine with the age limit being set at 18. As I\u2019ve repeatedly said over the course of this debate, if you\u2019re an adult and you want to have your genitals surgically removed or mutilated and can find a doctor to do it for you, go for it. As long as you\u2019re willing to accept the consequences of your decisions, you can have surgery to make yourself <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/news\/world-news\/transgender-woman-dragon-lady-chops-8798301\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">look like a snake<\/a> For all that I care. (Yes(Yes, that was actually done by someone.) But We are bound to protect the rights of our children. And Hormone injections and puberty blocking drugs can cause irreversible harm that cannot be undone.
