Wall Street Journal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/vince-mcmahon-plots-return-to-wwe-11672952709\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">first reported Thursday<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWWE is entering a critical juncture in its history with the upcoming media rights negotiations coinciding with increased industry-wide demand for quality content and live events and with more companies seeking to own the intellectual property on their platforms,\u201d McMahon stated in a statement. \u201cThe only way for WWE to fully capitalize on this opportunity is for me to return as Executive Chairman and support the management team in the negotiations for our media rights and to combine that with a review of strategic alternatives. WWE\u2019s live rights for \u201cRaw\u201d  \u201cSmackDown,\u201d They are expected to increase in 2024, as they represent a major source revenue source for the business. ThereforeMcMahon believes there&#8217;s a window of opportunity for a sale.
