Infuriating was the systematic lying about hydroxychloroquine in order to prevent its use in outpatient settings. I found the stories of people who died in hospitals after being denied ivermectin to be the most distressing. The most morally offensive story in medical history is undoubtedly the brutality of hospital chiefs, and their lawyers, who fought tooth-and-nine against the administration of IVermectin to dying patients.<\/p>\n<p>We have documented in our book that Drs. Pierre Kory, Paul Marik, Tess Lawrie, and Tess Lawrie stood at the forefront of the fight for ivermectin treatment in hospitals. Drs. Jean-Jacques Cepelowicz Rajter, and Juliana Cepelowicz Rajter published\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/33065103\/\" rel=\"\">seminal (ICON) study<\/a>\u00a0In the October 12, 2020 edition\u00a0<em>CHEST<\/em>\u00a0Journal of pulmonary medicine. Mary Beth Pfeiffer and Michael Capuzzo, the investigative journalists, did an excellent job covering this story in real-time. We should be thankful for all of these heroic figures of intellectual and moral discernment.<\/p>\n<p>Many patients who were fortunate enough to prevail in court and receive ivermectin enjoyed an astonishing improvement of their condition within 24 hours of receiving their first dose\u2014a recovery that struck family members as miraculous.<\/p>\n<p>Listening to their stories made me ask: \u201c<strong>How on earth could this substance (macrocyclic lactone)\u2014derived from a bacteria (Streptomyces avermectinius) found in a soil sample on a golf course in Japan\u2014possibly work such miracles<\/strong>?\u201d Truly these testimonies struck me as the most wondrous stories I\u2019d ever heard, and I occasionally asked myself if the recoveries observed were a fluke or the result of some other unknown factors.<\/p>\n<p>For sure, we knew everything from in vitro as well as from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/ja201711\" rel=\"\">prior studies<\/a>\u00a0Although ivermectin demonstrated powerful antiviral activity, the exact cause was not known. We are grateful to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdpi.com\/1422-0067\/23\/24\/15480\" rel=\"\">a study recently published by a research team at MEPHI, Aix-Marseille Universit\u00e9<\/a>, we have a highly plausible description of ivermectin\u2019s mechanism of action against the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein.<\/p>\n<p>This mechanism is best understood by the reader who must first comprehend the basics of the\u00a0<strong>SARS-CoV-2 Spike Protein Induces Hemagglutination\u2014i.e., a reaction that causes clumping of red blood cells.\u00a0<\/strong>A glycoprotein found on the viral surface\u00a0<strong>Hemagglutinin<\/strong>Red blood cells interact with, resulting in the formation of a lattice and the clumping.<\/p>\n<p>The Aix-Marseille study team documents:\u00a0<strong>IVERMECTIN prevented HEMAGGLUTINATION by being added to RED BLOOD ELLS before spike protein, and reversed HEMAGGLUTINATION afterward.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>By reversing the clumping of red blood cells, ivermectin enabled the dying patient\u2019s proper respiratory function to return, thereby generating his or her astonishing recovery.<\/p>\n<p>If the Aix-Marsaille team\u2019s findings are correct\u2014and we have no reason to doubt that they are\u2014they provide the final validation and vindication of the dying patients and their families who literally begged for the wonder drug.<\/p>\n<p>SHAME on hospital administrators and their mean attorneys, who denied the wishes of so many dying.
