Rooney claimed that the incident had occurred. &#8220;progress&#8221; It was done. Hamlin was in critical condition and was being kept in ICU.<\/p>\n<p>Rooney also stated to the outlet, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/sports\/nfl\/buffalo-bills\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hamlin needed to be<\/a> resuscitated only once \u2014 at Paycor Stadium. Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest Monday, after apparently making a routine tackle against the Cincinnati Bengals. Hamlin was conscious Tuesday after being sedated.<br \/>\n      <span class=\"copyright\">(AP Photo\/Joshua Bessex)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Rooney also warned that Hamlin had not yet resigned. &#8220;long way to go in his recovery&#8221; However, the family was optimistic.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They are elated right now,&#8221; He also added to the Associated Press. &#8220;Damar is still their first concern. But for them, they always look at how they can turn a somewhat troubling situation into a good one. The bounce back from this, for him and his family is going to be incredible.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Rooney said that he is Hamlin\u2019s friend and marketing representative. On Tuesday afternoon, Rooney released a statement in support of the family. It is unknown if he has any contact with the medical personnel treating the player.<\/p>\n<p>Glenn talked to the NFL Network on Tuesday night and offered more optimism on Hamlin\u2019s condition. According to Glenn, Hamlin has seen a 50% improvement in oxygen levels since being placed on a ventilator.<\/p>\n<p>After a tackle on Tee Heyggins, Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest at 8 :55 p.m. Monday night. It was a really, truly scary scene to witness that yesterday, as everyone in the country probably can agree with. I would have felt the way I felt no matter who it was, but for it to be my nephew, man, it was especially more of a gut punch to see that. I\u2019m thankful that he\u2019s still here, he\u2019s still alive, and he\u2019s still fighting. We\u2019re just taking it day by day and continue to let the medical staff do what they do.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Hamlin\u2019s family released a statement on Tuesday expressing &#8220;sincere gratitude&#8221; For the overwhelming support they received in the face of a &#8220;challenging time&#8221; This is for the entire family.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;On behalf of our family, we want to express our sincere gratitude for the love and support shown to Damar during this challenging time.
