To be frank, I\u2019m ashamed of myself,\u201d Singer stated this in court<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Singer was the principal operator of what investigators did <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/rick-singer-mastermind-of-college-admissions-cheating-scandal-faces-sentencing-11672794289\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">called<\/a> \u201cOperation Varsity Blues,\u201d where he made placements for students to top schools. Lori Loughlin, who was embroiled by the scandal, was one of those celebrities. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-11054463\/Full-House-star-Lori-Loughlin-breaks-silence-Varsity-Blue-college-bribing-scandal.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">served<\/a> Two months imprisonment after she attempted to get her children into the University of Southern California. Singer was able to help students get into colleges by either changing the incorrect answers or having a proctor explain what the correct answers were. Singer made it possible by telling parents to have their students tested for learning differences. This allowed them to take more time for the exams. They stated that he was helping with the investigation. \u201cwas exceptionally valuable and, at the same time, plagued by missteps.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Singer collaborated with authorities to bring charges against people who had asked him for help in getting their children into college. Singer secretly recorded over the phone people as they confessed to their participation.
