After a few minutes, Bills safety officials performed CPR and administered oxygen to Hamlin before he was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. <\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/35368372\/damar-hamlin-collapses-field-bills-bengals-temporarily-suspended\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ESPN<\/a>Hamlin experienced cardiac arrest. His heartbeat was resynchronized on the field. Hamlin was then taken to the ambulance. He is currently in critical condition and remains under sedated at the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>The NFL has decided to postpone the game indefinitely due to the incident. In the previous game, the Bengals were leading 7-3.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Damar Hamlin&#8217;s hit was one of the most bizarre. It looked so normal. Blow to the upper chest. Did Hamlin take Covid in order to weaken his heart? The simple answer is that we don\u2019t know anything concrete at this point. <\/p>\n<p>The most popular theories are: <a href=\"https:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/commotio-cordis-traumatic-injury-may-201953637.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cycling throughout the media<\/a> is that commotio cordis contributed to Hamlin\u2019s cardiac arrest.
