He used the Bible of the Revolution, which the Founding Fathers of the U.S. Congress endorsed nearly 240 years earlier, to swear in.<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis, his wife Casey and their three children took the oath on the steps at the Tallahassee state Capitol building with their three children. The museum was also a research library and state-of the-art museum that preserves the United States&#8217; history.<\/p>\n<p>Beck told his media company he offered that DeSantis use the historic Bible and Mary Todd Lincoln\u2019s Bible at his oath of office ceremony in Florida, saying the governor\u2019s work in the state \u201chas real historic significance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is the beginning of a renewal of the principles for which our Founders fought,\u201d Beck <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblaze.com\/news\/governor-ron-desantis-aitken-bible-swearing-in-glenn-beck\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis, 44, a former congressman and U.S. Navy veteran of the war in Iraq, became one of the nation\u2019s most high-profile governors in his first term, which secured his 2022 victory over challenger Charlie Crist with nearly 60% of the vote. DeSantis spoke out about his achievements during his first term which saw Florida become the fastest-growing state in the country in 2022, for the first time since 1957.<\/p>\n<p>The Blaze reported that DeSantis, Lieutenant Gov. Jeanette Nu\u00f1ez swore their oath on Tuesday \u201cserves as a reminder of where we came from.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It was over 240 years ago that the Founding Fathers of America in Congress in 1782 supported the King James translation of Aitken Bible which Robert Aitken published following the victory of the War of Independence. This is the only edition that was ever ordered.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Robert Aitken published The Aitken Bible. It was North America&#8217;s first English-language Bible. Previously, English-language Bibles were not allowed to be printed without permission from authorities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Founders understood where our rights came from,\u201d Beck stated that the Bible is the best book, and that it was a good source of inspiration. \u201ca reflection of that understanding.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Beck observed that many of the issues facing the nation today are a result of a \u201closs of truth,\u201d He added that it has been done before.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd until we return to the eternal truths, which Rudyard Kipling called the \u2018Gods of the Copybook Headings,\u2019 we will continue to \u2014 as a nation and as individuals\u00a0\u2014 struggle,\u201d Beck stated. \u201cThe Bible played an essential role in our Founding, and if we are to remain a nation of individual rights, it must play the same role in our Re-Founding.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis cited from the book Psalms as his inaugural speech after noticing how many countries in the union had stripped individual liberties.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe face attacks, we take hits, but we weather the storms,\u201d DeSantis said. \u201cWe stand our ground, and we do what\u2019s right.
