According to sources familiar, those SARs involved funds from &#8220;China and other foreign nations.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Fox News first reported on the existence of an investigation into Hunter Biden&#8217;s conduct in October 2020, before the next presidential election. The FBI had a criminal investigation into Hunter Biden. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/fbi-purported-hunter-biden-laptop-sources\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">subpoenaed the laptop<\/a> purportedly belonging in an existing course to Hunter Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/laptop-hunter-biden-linked-fbi-money-laundering-probe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">money laundering investigation.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/official-polls\/fox-news-poll-bipartisan-support-investigating-hunter-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>FOX NEWS POLL: BIPARTISAN SUPPORT FOR INVESTIGATING HUNTER BIDEN<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Democrats and mainstream media outlets characterized the story about the laptop as Russian disinformation. John Ratcliffe, then-Director for National Intelligence, confirmed that the laptop had been stolen. &#8220;not part of some Russian disinformation campaign,&#8221; But Democrats and the media rejected that claim.<\/p>\n<p>Social media companies such as Facebook or Twitter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/technology\/twitter-files-former-trump-dni-john-ratcliffe-claims-vindication-hunter-biden-laptop-story\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">censored and limited <\/a>Stories about Hunter Biden&#8217;s laptop circulated before the 2020 presidential elections.<\/p>\n<div class=\"image-ct inline\">\n<div class=\"m\"><source media=\"(max-width: 767px)\" \/><source media=\"(min-width: 767px) and (max-width: 1023px)\" \/><source media=\"(min-width: 1024px) and (max-width: 1279px)\" \/><source media=\"(min-width: 1280px)\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a57.foxnews.com\/static.foxnews.com\/foxnews.com\/content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/640\/320\/Obama-biden-hunter-SAI-sharpen.jpg?ve=1&#038;tl=1\" alt=\"Some Republicans say Hunter Biden&#039;s business dealings can be linked to President Biden.\"   style=\"display:none\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"caption\">\n<p>\n Some Republicans believe Hunter Biden&#8217;s business transactions can be linked with President Biden.<br \/>\n      <span class=\"copyright\">(AP Photo\/Nick Wass)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Only 2022 was it possible. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/cbs-verifies-hunter-biden-laptop-becoming-latest-news-outlet-pivot-after-dismissing-scandal-2020\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media outlets<\/a> like NBC News and CBS News begin accepting the fact and verified that the laptop did belong to Hunter Biden and did hold legitimate records belonging to the president\u2019s son.<\/p>\n<p>Twitter, under the new ownership of Elon Musk, released records surrounding the company&#8217;s decisions to block the circulation of the Hunter Biden stories \u2013 even though he had been under federal investigation at that point for nearly two years.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter Biden confirmed that the investigation into his conduct was ongoing &#8220;tax affairs&#8221; After his father&#8217;s election as president, he was elected in December 2020.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/feds-weigh-charges-against-hunter-biden-outcome-years-long-case-could-be-imminent-source\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>FEDS WEIGH CHARGES AGAINST HUNTER BIDEN, OUTCOME OF YEARSLONG CASE COULD BE &#8216;IMMINENT&#8217;: SOURCE<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The investigation under Trump-appointed Delaware U.S. attorney David Weiss seemed to be close to a conclusion in 2022. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/hunter-biden-probe-critical-stage-officials-weigh-possible-charges-source\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">critical stage.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Fox News reported in July that the federal grand jury looking into Hunter Biden\u2019s business dealings wrapped up its latest term in June of this year and had expired. This is why a false statement charges may be possible. Fox News reported that in 2018 a Hunter Biden gun was found outside a Delaware market.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/joe-biden-aware-potentially-involved-hunters-crony-business-dealings-whistleblower\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>JOE BIDEN \u2018WAS AWARE\u2019 AND POTENTIALLY \u2018INVOLVED\u2019 IN SON HUNTER\u2019S CRONY BUSINESS DEALINGS: WHISTLEBLOWERS<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A source with knowledge of the Oct.\u00a023, 2018, police report told Fox News that\u00a0it indicated that Hallie Biden, the widow of President Biden&#8217;s late son, Beau, and who was in a relationship with Hunter at the time, threw a gun owned by Hunter in a dumpster behind a market near a school.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/hunter-biden-police-report-2018-gun-incident\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A firearm transaction<\/a> Fox News reported that Hunter Biden bought a gun that month earlier than previously believed.<\/p>\n<div class=\"image-ct inline\">\n<div class=\"m\"><source media=\"(max-width: 767px)\" \/><source media=\"(min-width: 767px) and (max-width: 1023px)\" \/><source media=\"(min-width: 1024px) and (max-width: 1279px)\" \/><source media=\"(min-width: 1280px)\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a57.foxnews.com\/static.foxnews.com\/foxnews.com\/content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/640\/320\/grassley.jpg?ve=1&#038;tl=1\" alt=\"Sen. Biden has also denied knowing anything about his son&#8217;s business ventures and any involvement with them since 2020.<\/p>\n<p>It is unknown if Grassley will continue his investigation into Hunter Biden. However, Republicans on several House committees have vowed new and more intense investigations into Hunter Biden\u2019s business dealings next Year, when the GOP wins the majority of House of Representatives seats and subpoena powers.<\/p>\n<p>After the midterm election, President Biden wished House Republicans well &#8220;lots of luck&#8221; If they keep their promises to use a GOP majority for investigation of his son,\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Lots of luck in your senior year, as my coach used to say,&#8221; Biden joked. &#8220;Look, I think the American public wants us to move on and get things done for them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He said, &#8220;Look, I can\u2019t control what they\u2019re going to do, all I can do is continue to try to make life better for the American people.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"image-ct inline\">\n<div class=\"m\"><source media=\"(max-width: 767px)\" \/><source media=\"(min-width: 767px) and (max-width: 1023px)\" \/><source media=\"(min-width: 1024px) and (max-width: 1279px)\" \/><source media=\"(min-width: 1280px)\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a57.foxnews.com\/static.foxnews.com\/foxnews.com\/content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/640\/320\/BidenPresser2.jpg?ve=1&#038;tl=1\" alt=\"President Biden says Americans are not interested in investigations into his son, but polls say otherwise.\" \/><\/div>\n<div class=\"caption\">\n<p>\n However, President Biden asserts that Americans don&#8217;t want to investigate his son. But polls prove otherwise.<br \/>\n      <span class=\"copyright\">(Ting Shen\/Bloomberg via Getty Images<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Fox News&#8217; latest poll of voters revealed this month that all political parties believe it is crucial for the Justice Department investigation into Hunter Biden&#8217;s business dealings.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/politics\/musks-twitter-files-revealing-censorship-hunter-biden-laptop-story-distraction-white-house-says\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>MUSK&#8217;S &#8216;TWITTER FILES,&#8217; REVEALING CENSORSHIP OF HUNTER BIDEN LAPTOP STORY, IS A &#8216;DISTRACTION, WHITE HOUSE SAYS<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>72 percent of voters believe it is important that the Justice Department investigates, a similar percentage to the 72% who believed so in August. This includes majorities for Republicans (88%), Democrats (54%), as well as independents (74%).<\/p>\n<p>Partisans disagree, however, on what investigations into Hunter Biden\u2019s conduct will reveal. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/politics\/elections\/republicans\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>Republicans generally think Hunter Biden did something<\/u><\/a> illegal in his business dealings with Ukraine and China (70%), and that President Biden committed a crime related to his son\u2019s activities (63%). The contrary is true for Joe Biden (8%) and Hunter Biden (11%).<\/p>\n<p>39% believe Hunter Biden committed crime, 31% think he did something unethical, but not illegal, and 19% think he did nothing serious wrong.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/download\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><u>CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>These numbers are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/person\/joe-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>fairly similar for President Biden<\/u><\/a>35% believe he committed a criminal act, 27% feel he acted unethically, but not illegally, and 31% feel that he did nothing wrong.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter Biden was investigated by the FBI and other law enforcement agencies for tax-related matters. However, voter trust in FBI is dependent on the voter&#8217;s party affiliation.<\/p>\n<p>Nearly two-thirds of voters (63%) are confident in the Bureau \u2014 but that is down from 70% in September. This decline is mainly due to Republicans (47% more confident now than in September, 59% less).
