Ask Pierin Vincenz.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the former Swiss bank CEO at 65 was charged with financial crimes. He allegedly conspired with the infamously-named <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/02\/08\/business\/raiffeisen-pierin-vincenz-fraud-trial.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Beat Stocker<\/a>. According to Swiss authorities, Vincenz and Stocker earned more than $27 million through the acquisition of shares in companies that they then arranged for Raiffeisen to sell to them. Raiffeisen is the bank Vincenz controlled.<\/p>\n<p>This seems to be the kind of thing that the Swiss financial systems were built for. Cancel culture prevailed in a war zone where many warring countries failed. It got the once-neutral country to stand firm on the side the feds and snitches. Swiss authorities are now going through Vincenz&#8217;s expense records like a revengeful human resource director.<\/p>\n<p>We are not like the chocolate-covered deselicts who rake this captain of industry over coals. <em>Washington Free Beacon<\/em> Still believe in capitalism. We believe in capitalism so we accept Vincenz&#8217;s word that there was a legitimate reason for each business expense.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014$4,000 to a Hyatt in Zurich for damaging a hotel room during a &#8220;massive&#8221; Fight with a stripper. Did he have to go?<\/p>\n<p>\u2014$750 for a Tinder date Vincenz claims was actually a job interview. We found half of our staff on JSwipe so who are you to judge?<\/p>\n<p>\u2014$216,000 in strip club charges the financier claimed were necessary to meet potential clients. We agree. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/europe\/verdict-due-swiss-banker-year-strip-club-bill-trial-2022-04-12\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sentenced him<\/a> He was sentenced to four years imprisonment and ordered to pay millions in fines, restitution and other costs.<\/p>\n<p>It is not clear if Vincenz will be removed from Switzerland. &#8220;Banker of the Year&#8221; He was awarded the title in 2014.
